All countries should preserve their Wildlands and rewild as much as possible. Not many people realize that Ireland and the UK are man made ecological deserts, and are countries that do not value wildlife. What the Brazilian have done to the Amazon, is nothing compared to what the Irish and British people have done to their respective wildlife. Rwanda recently reintroduced Lions, a country far poorer than Ireland, with twice the population and Half the size of Ireland. Ireland has absolutely no reason to not reintroduce species that they drove to exectintion.

I'm a more of dog person than cat especially those wovles. They are so gorgeous animals! By the way, we need the apex animals to rebalanced the eco system. Look at the yellow stone! It is an excellent example. Also animal shooting should be illegal. Let the nature taking care of themselves after bring them back. Thanks for your powerful & emotional speeches!
Though wolves needs the most territory they would bring the more definitive benefits with predating on deers that would otherwise need to be culled and ecotourism. I think bears are a higher risk to the public and lynx are a lot less known and would probably be more a pest to farmers than the others.
Don't see it happening.I was in switzerland recently where they reintroduced liynx but as the main livestock is cattle rather than sheep there is much less conflict with farmers
