The views on this one are beautiful. This is the most viewed vlog with Anita my old work colleague. I found out before we retired that she loved hiking too. We meet once a week for a hike in the Peaks. But yes, one minute Chinley Churn opposite was in the cloud and the next moment they were gone. I remember this one well as I had to bail on the third Peak as my knees were shot. Thank you for watching and commenting I really appreciate it.
Thank you for liking and commenting, I really do appreciate it. I have 95 Peaks to climb on this challenge and I'm 3rd of the way through. We are out again tomorrow on a another hike. The vlog will be released tomorrow night. Please consider subscribing to follow my journey. As a small channel I really appreciate every comment and like. Thank you.
Thank you for watching and commenting. As a new channel I really appreciate the support on this challenge. Please consider subscribing for more peaks in the Peak District National Park. I know it isn't as stunning as Norway but it is beautiful. I can't believe I've left it until now to discover the beauty on my own doorstep. It certainly is beautiful. Thanks again. I really appreciate it.
They are very beautiful. I can't believe it has taken me to be 60 years old to explore somewhere only an hour away by car. I will be out hiking again tomorrow with my wife Amanda. Please consider subscribing and follow my Ethel Challenge. I look forward to you watching the upcoming video and also any of the previous ones. I am a new channel and getting to grips with vloging but stick with me and I can hopefully improve as I go. Thank you again for commenting.
My friend, I really appreciate the work that you create and share here with us. This video is truly what I needed to be under a lot of pressure lately. I played your video and I just found myself being transferred somewhere peaceful. Exactly what helps me to stand up and go make something out of this life. Thank you again and wish you only the best :)👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Thank you so much for watching and commenting on my vlog. I am glad you enjoyed it. I post once every week or so. Please consider subscribing should you wish to see more. Thank you again for watching and commenting.
Brilliant Chris and a new addition to the series...woof woof....below South Head is South Head farm which is owned by the National Trust....the farm is where I was based with the Kinder team...we would meet there every morning and given our duties for the day for the conservation of all of Kinder Scout....seems like a lifetime away now and your vid has brought back all the amazing memories I have..wish I had seen your series in real time as you were doing it....hope you dont mind me commenting at all your previous conquests....so enjoyable and a joy to watch...Cheers Lez.
I'm honoured that you have taken the time to watch all the vlogs from start to finish Lez. If you look at YT Analytics, you can get disheartened as it shows you the 'skip through rate' on each vlog. It seems that people these days only want highlights and not to view your hard work. So i appreciate you taking the time to actually watch them. To me, these vlogs are as much about the 'Rambling' (oration) as they are the vistas. They were really for me to look back on in old age as from the start and for the first few months I only had a few Subscribers. It is only recently that I was spotlighted in Yasmin's channel, and the channel got traction. I'm glad that watching them has brought back so many fond memories. I have come to appreciate your hard work over the course of this challenge, and my views on paved paths have changed, although they do hurt my feet /legs after a while. The Dawg only came on one hike, but the views increased exponentially. It was either the Dawg or the thumbnail that attracted others. You comment all you want Lez, I'm really enjoying reliving these with you. Each vlog stirs a memory of not only what I filmed but also I remember the entire hike. Thank you again for watching and commenting Lez, I really do appreciate it.
@@chrisbentleywalkingandrambling A lady said to at work that if you have a dog in your vids it does actually boost you views.....must admit I do sometimes skip a bit of your footage but not very often...usually because I see something in the background that I recognise and get to keen to see it.....have loved the way you have changed to the way you are now from how you were at the start...I can only admire your dedication..sometimes you dont finish with the talk in the car and feel that this is a brilliant lookback at the days events and feel cheated.....that sounds weird....but I enjoy the reflection just as much....Cheers Lez.
Those days were at the start when I hiked three or four. Cut them into three vlogs then stupidly just did one roundup. Like you say Lez, I have progressed and am learning all the time. But I'm really enjoying it too. The day it becomes a chore is the day I stop. Thank you for all your kind words Lez.
Beautiful Chris!...one of my favourite walks! I thought I didn't recognise the route you took up, and then you arrived on the other side of the fence! 😁 The OS map isn't much help with Mount Famine either! We usually come up from the campsite at Hayfield, and there's a stile that gets you in onto the edge path. Enjoyed watching👍👍
Thanks for watching and commenting Des. Had I thought it out, I think I would have gone on to Brown Knoll, but we had Chinley Churn planned instead. I was a bit achey with the arthritis on this one. It would have saved me hiking from Lord's Seat to Brown Knoll later. That aside, it was a very pleasant hike with Anita. We see each other every week or so to do an Ethel or two, so she is a recurring visitor. Certainly beautiful views up there. Thanks again for your support Des.
Thank you for watching and commenting. I appreciate the subscription too. I aim to get a vlog out at least once a week sometimes twice. Took a week off but back on it this week coming. Thank you again, I really appreciate it.
Thank you for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it. There are several other vlogs to view. Please consider subscribing for future content. Thanks again for commenting.
Another two Ethels with Anita et al. It was cold, hot, cold, hot. Mount Famine and South Head. I had contemplated a third today but the old knees were complaining. As Meatloaf would say, Two out of three ain't bad. I did say Ethel 27 at South Head but it was Ethel 28. My bad.
Hi you two, I just found your channel and walked this beautiful hike with you. What a great landscape, the view from the top is fantastic. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. Of course I'll subscribe to your channel and leave a Like! Best regards from Germany, Martin from find-the-silence
Hi Martin, thank you for subscribing and your kind comments. The Ethel Challenge is 95 Peaks and Anita comes with me occasionally. We used to work together. I'm trying to get out for a hike at least twice a week so mostly I'm solo but at times I'm with Amanda my wife and at other times Anita. Please check out the other walks. I'm just starting out on this adventure so it isn't polished vlog but I just walk and talk a bit. I really appreciate you stopping by.
Thank you for watching and commenting Martin. That day I was hiking with Anita who I used to work with and she brought her lovely little dog along. Other times I hike with Amanda my wife or solo. Please check out some other vlogs and thank you again for commenting, I really appreciate it. I should be hiking twice a week until the weather gets too bad but I'm determined to finish this Challenge. Please consider subscribing for more content.
