Anime: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5: Vento Aureo (ジョジョの奇妙な冒険 黄金の風)
Episode 31: Cioccolata is stuck in his helicopter and sees Giorno and Mista arrive for him. However, when Mista sends five of the Sex Pistols to kill Cioccolata, they notice that he's disappeared and get ambushed, resulting in Mista being taken out. Giorno thus goes to rescue the Pistols with no.5 but also gets ambushed because Cioccolata has managed to cut himself into piece and survive thanks to his medical knowledge.
I'd just like to take this moment to appreciate how a Stand is talking to someone who isn't their User. It's the little things.

@@yassineszn17 Sex Pistols being 6 different personalities still trump that. They can plan, communicate and recon even when Mista is unconcious. They can each make decisions and assist strategically.
They also eat which I believe to also be unique
@@beethebestgamer1368 They probably have brains and are almost independent lifeforms, which is why they need to eat. Mista doesn't seem to be able to control his stand at all; they pretty much work on their own at all time.

Six pistols is between the line where it's a independent stand which helps it's user like Act3 and threat to the user like the sword stand from part3 and the stand which stays on your back from part4

If i remember correctly, in the manga Cioccolata kill one of the Pistols with a scalpel but that shouldn't be possibile, so i'm glad that DP make this little correction
I'm pretty sure it was only humans. If what you said was the case then close range stands wouldn't have to put their arms up to defend against gunfire.
there were no corrections. they show the blood on the scalpels. i've been waiting for this episode so i could clereify it. heres something i've previously written.
in regards to scalpels interacting and hurting sex pistols. it's understandable people would think sex pistols getting hurt by a none stand thing is a error but its not. the first stand battle ever, jotaro uses toilet water to put out stand flames. the first time they meet polnareff, joseph mechanical hand clashes with his sword. there was that time where that vampire bit down on star platinum arm, it didn't pierce, i'm assuming because he wasn't strong enough. then dio reflects emeralds splash with his hands. in part 4 okuyasu grabs the lock on koichi with his hands. in part naranicia grabs his stand radar, bruno and illuso have grabbed moody blues. in the grateful dead beach boy battle, mista shoots at pecis stand and it phases through and redirects the pain back, peci doesn't say it didn't work because it's a stand, just that he could not hurt it like that. in the manga you even see the bullet bend the string before it phases through. non stand, stand interaction has always been a thing. basically it's like how most stand users think once the user dies so does the stand but that's not always the case. they think stands can't be effected by none stand things but that's not the case. araki even directly alludes to stand users just being ignorant when it comes to stand/none stand interaction when illuso says only stands can grab stands yet after that he grabs on moody blues. just because a character says something about how a stand works doesn't mean it's always the case. like that time where i believe it was joseph in part3 who said the reason none stand users could see the orangutans stand ship was because of how big/powerful it was but that wasn't it, at the end of the battle, we see the ship shrink into a boat. that was the first bound stand. when we see none stand objects phasing through stands, i'm pretty sure they're just in phase mode like how jotaro used in part 3. some stands don't know how to do it like sex pistols, some stands are just naturally in that state like hollys stand. it's always been a thing.

I have reread the manga, both in color and in black and white, and never once was a sexpistol or a scalpel even shown on the panel, DP changed *nothing* here, Cioccolata have been doing Karate chop from the beginning

This is completely unchanged, Cioccolata was never shown cutting the Pistols with a scalpel in the manga.
This comment section is a prime example of how ignorant JJBA fans can be sometimes. Of how an incorrect rumor spreads throughout the fanbase and everyone completely misunderstands a scene, but the reality is that people just don't pay attention to what they're reading.
Josuke saving himself, Fugo being written out for being OP, MiH killing people with the reset, King Crimson making no sense, Holly's stand being a plot hole, Dio forgetting about his vampire powers in part 3, etc. All false.

How the pistols died is not very important as long as they don't change the plot. It's a detail dude.

It's true he cuts a Pistol with the scalpel in the manga, but here in the anime we don't see him using the scalpel to cut Pistol down, and since he attacked Giorno with his own hand "enveloped" by Green Day's, I assume that's how he got them. He just karate chopped them to pieces.

That or another explanation is they got chopped by Green Day, with the scalpel used in cutting up Ciocolatta since it was by all his other medical stuff.

Hes still has it, he wasn't able to use the ability in this fight. The mold, while initiated from Green Day, is an entirely seperate attack independent from Cioccolata, so it doesn't have a the ability to reflect back towards anyone.
I love how Number 5 is the Ugly Duckling of the bunch but proves to be the most reliable

I completely forgot that Giorno’s Punch wasn’t as effective cause the dude is so drugged up he can’t feel his missing limbs, Giorno probably helped wear off the effects quicker tho.
Yeah come to think of it, Giorno’s punch probably has very little effect on Cioccolata, since he’s shown to basically be a walking talking frankenstein

He did try to shoot the helicopter down, but it was out of the Pistols’s range, so Giorno got it within his range by having Mista shoot the building, then growing the bullets into a tree.

That's just a weirdly shaped tree (which still isn't impossible irl), vines are thinner and more flaccid so they droop due to gravity
