I subscribed and put notifications on, because I love this video. It seems I’ll have revisit this site to get my bearings on things to do in this area of Belize. I enjoyed watching. Thank you for sharing!
Hi Jose! Appreciate your support and nice compliment! Be sure to check out our top rated guide on Ambergris/San Pedro area too if your all about Belize. Otherwise, we have some good ones on Mexico beach areas too! Grand Canyon is coming up this week too. Thanks for subscribing!
Thanks, you did a really nice overview except in the opener you said that the Cayo district is about a 2 hour drive east of Belize City. You would need a boat to go east of BZ city toward Jamaica.
Glad it was helpful! Are you headed to Belize soon? Check out St. Leonards Tours they were really awesome, if you do make sure to mention how you found them to get a discount.
I am looking to coming in to Belize from Guatemala, having spent a day at Tikal. Likely going to stop and spend a day or two in San Ignacios and doing jungle adventures. How long would you say it takes to process through customs at the border? And how long of a trip should I reasonably expect the trip from Tikal to San Ignacios to take?
Couldn’t find any provider for less than $100 but you are right that private transport for a couple (or up to 4) can be had for about $110-$120 as of Jan 2021. Think that’s what we mentioned in the video…!
Belize Caving Expedition's, who I use for my guests charge USD90 for a transfer from Airport / watertaxi to San Ignacio. If anyone has a problem booking this just shout
My family is headed to Belize in May 2022 and we are trying to identify if we should do ATM cave adventure or Caves Branch? We have 2 adventurous boys 19yr and 13 yr and want them to be interested. Advice? Recommend a specific tour company?
Hey There Lori. Have you watched our Cave Branch video? In it we provide contact details for our recommended tour company and you get 10% off if you mention Scottsdale Travel Chick. In terms of which tour, keep in mind ATM is an all day tour and you need reservations we’ll in advance. It’s really cool and I’d certainly recommend it. On the other hand, Caves Branch is more basic - unless you can do the private part back into the crystal chamber part - that’s a must in my opinion so you need to make sure that part is included. Also, with Caves Branch you can also see Xunantunich Mayan ruins (see our video on that too) on the same day trip - so that package is a great day overall. My suggestion - Maybe do both….!
When you did Belize - the San Ignacio portion, did you rent a car from Belize airport and drive to these locations or did you hire a car? Curious how you traveled from hotel to Mayan Ruins then another hour north tot he caves? Was all that handled via the tour company? We are trying to determine if we should rent a car or just use taxi / shuttles
Hi Philip We did not rent a car. We just hired a car service to get to SI and then back to the airport or San Pedro. We recommended one service in our video. All the excursions will provide transportation to/from your hotel.
Everyone has to wear a life jacket & Elio from St Leonard’s is so careful to guide you on this tour, I would say thst shouldn’t be a problem. Contact them directly & ask their thoughts

You mentioned a review of Cassia Hill Resort, but I'm not seeing it on your channel. Did you ever post it?
Hi Lisa, sorry I've been still working on that one. We did post the video on Ka'ana Resort Hotel Review.

The price quoted for a shuttle is quite expensive, Gold Standard Approved transportation is $90 per trip - not per person for upto 4 person's

Is cave's branch suitable for an adventorous 7 year old boy?

When is the best month to visit San Ignacio? Is the middle of May a good time?
May is good, can be quite hot, but rains haven't really started in May so humidity is not to bad
Is this a good area to buy in if you’re an expat?
I'm not sure, we were just focused on exploring San Ignacio. Sorry.
Have you folks been back? Lots of traveling huh? 😂 lol
Love the video but its pronounced Cahal Pech (petch) like saying etch n sketch
