- This incident occurred December 2019.
I wholeheartedly regret my actions and I am deeply sorry and couldn't apologise any more than I have.
After racing for over 50 minutes my frustration and the adrenaline pumping cause my unacceptable rage. Having heard I was black flagged for being sarcastic. I believe later the marshalls added to their story that I was black flagged also for overtaking on a yellow. I agree with that, many of us have done it to get the cheeky yards. However the marshall in the pits had the opportunity to explain that reason. He didn't and solely focused on my sarcasm after I gave them a round of applause when they finally flagged in kart 4 for his actions that I believe they were missing out on.
They spitefully black flagged me because of my sarcasm.
This is unacceptable and some you should let go and maybe discuss later. It doesn't warrant pulling me out of the race.
Warrington staff are notorious for and overzealous at pulling people in.
I 'spat my dummy' well and truly out and only those who have raced a 50 lap race at Warrington will understand the hard work involved and the frustration of it being thrown away.
My shock and frustration got the better of me.
I apologise to the marshall if I caused him any fear. He was lucky to get out of the way.
In whole I apologise to TeamSport and if the kart is damaged(not heard if it is)then I intend to cover the cost of repairs.
There's nothing more I can say really other than please don't take this hobby away from me. I like to think I am part of a growing community in the karting world here in the UK being apart of a great group of guys on Facebook in DADs Karting.
Update November 2021
I kept this video private for so long as I thought it would affect any other opportunities karting at other venues.
In the meantime I was hopeful of being allowed back but TS are adamant it's liftime ban.
Obviously I was very stupid and we learn from our mistakes.
I hope people can learn from my mistakes and not find themselves in the same situation. I miss the Warrington track however in 2020 I joined Club 100 and have done 11 rounds so far over 2 seasons. (without any rage ;-) )
