@@steve5123456789 Yes, I actually mention that in the video when I'm quoting an old article, but it's still not quite the same, the words "push" are listed along with the button and a "failure" message appears when you fail, I'm being pedantic I know, but the point I was trying to make is that future games would end up doing QTEs EXACTLY like Shenmue did it, minus the exact sound effects, setting a definitive standard for how QTEs looked and played, while also coining the term used to describe them up to the present day. I was just trying to illustrate how important Shenmue is to the formation of the modern QTE, even though it didn't do it first.

@@supermoe1985 It was totally baffling for sure. I was utterly disappointed with Shenmue 3 and felt that Yu Suzuki completely blew his chance to complete his story. I always thought shemnue online was fan made
FMV games had quick time events.
I say "It was the first to use QTEs almost exactly as they would appear in future games" FMV games use QTEs as the entirety of gameplay and don't have the same button prompts.
@@supermoe1985 Didn't' Die Hard Arcade have quick time events as well?
@@steve5123456789 Yes, I actually mention that in the video when I'm quoting an old article, but it's still not quite the same, the words "push" are listed along with the button and a "failure" message appears when you fail, I'm being pedantic I know, but the point I was trying to make is that future games would end up doing QTEs EXACTLY like Shenmue did it, minus the exact sound effects, setting a definitive standard for how QTEs looked and played, while also coining the term used to describe them up to the present day. I was just trying to illustrate how important Shenmue is to the formation of the modern QTE, even though it didn't do it first.
thought only 1,2,3
Technically and in detail... I think the Saturn version is better.
I don't see how. It looks a lot better on the Dreamcast.
I loved this video, but I have to say that you were very kind with shenmue 3... Is the worst of the series. Shenmue 2 is better in almost every aspect... That's disappointing
I mention in the video that I still think it's the worst of the series, but overall I don't think it's a bad game, it's just that the previous games are even better.
But thanks for watching :)
I find shenmue 3 is better than shenmue 1...
At least the word is bigger and the activities is larger than shenmue 1...
Shenmue 2 was great but thanks to over large amount of baget unlike shenmue 3 it was consider to be indi game yet still i did better then i expected...
For #3 the 1 thing I didn't like Was eating you have to eat I don't wanna eat an apple every 5 minutes this part of the gamer in the game for me this is not The game series I grew up with
The inability to pause Shenmue 3 is one of the LEAST problematic things about that game, to be honest.
I agree, my point was that it was the most BAFFLING thing about the game haha
@@supermoe1985 It was totally baffling for sure. I was utterly disappointed with Shenmue 3 and felt that Yu Suzuki completely blew his chance to complete his story. And then blew it AGAIN with the Anime Shenmue by decided to just re-tell Shenmue 1 and 2's story, and failing to conclude it again (and then the anime got cancelled). As someone who backed Shenmue 3, it was a bitter pill to swallow. I never again will support a kickstarter project. Especially not one from a legacy game creator like this.
Too much whispering
