I've learned it, and I hope you are able to learn to do it for yourself too. I know it can be done and I know you can do it. We get to be alive just this one time for a short couple decades, and the world already has enough misery in it. It's worth it to try and make our short existence beautiful and happy and worthwhile. It's worth it to try and love yourself, because no one can love you as well as you. I hope you find a way out of your misery buddy, I really hope you find happiness, I love you!

My grandmother just passed away a few days ago after having Alzheimer’s for the last six years... and so I flew in for the funeral. She was my last living grandparent.
I’m now here with my parents for the remainder of my visit, having left my husband behind since he couldn’t come. I am in such a sad place mentally right now. This is the third death in my family this year, and I’m hurting. This song, this very version that’s slowed, both soothes the monstrosity of depression in me, while fueling it for rapid fire recalling of memories.
