- Ahoy Legends, Welcome to Part 2 of my adventure! What a camp spot I managed to find to do some beach fishing and cooking over the fire!
On this episode I show you how to butterfly out a whole fish and then cook it over the coals, followed by a fast and furious fishing session where I put the pippi's collected on Day 1 to good use against the local Dart population.

note to self - Don't watch old mate stuffing himself with tailor when you haven't had a feed yourself! I'm 3 homebrews in so now I have to beg the missus to get tucker.

Nice vid Sammy. What a spot. Pro tip for them garlic/chili tubes. When you squeeze some out, put the lid back on before releasing pressure on the tube. This keeps air out and they last a lot longer. cheers.

Dart are beautiful skun, coated in salt pepper and flour and pan fried whole. 👍
This is definitely my favorite adventure so far. It's great being on the boat but this is so chill and the scenery beautiful. My new desktop background is you in ytour chair on the beach and that beautiful view. Ah, but now "back to reality."

Dart fresh are great to eat. I used to live 100 metres from the beach on the Sunny Coast , I would grab a rod and head to the beach to grab some beach worms to catch a few Dart, straight back home to cook them for lunch....Yum...!
Great video Sammy. To open pipis I just use the Phantom Tool down the side and also good to scrape out the meat they open up easily with that.
The Phantom tool is put to good use on the beach.!

A good sized dart would pull a tailer the same size backwards they fight hard and taste great

Tip for the pippies just grab 2 and smash them together one will break. Then You don't have to go to hard ground and peg them on the ground.

Love beach fishing and those spots you were at were primo looking places. I love to get the slide on camper onto the 1 tonner and staying on the beach, the missus loves doing that type of fishing and camping so it's a double bonus

Those Sea Eagles sure know how to pick up a free feed, i watched one in the passage a couple of weeks ago, when it was blowing a gale, it dropped out of the sky and came back up with a lizard bigger than it, he had to do a couple of slow circles to gain the altitude he needed to take it home. Loved the view for breakfast Sammy, and the beach fishing is always great fun. The ending with the whales was great too, much better than looking at your other whale mate. 😂
I watched one at Torbul grab a huge flatty about a month ago, very disheartening after fishing for a few hours and he just coke flying in no dramas 🫠🤣

Awesome vid mate I love a good beach fishing and camping trip. Also if your not aware I think it is 100m or 300m away from filming marine animals with a drone i know of someone that films in moreton bay that got big fines drone flying above dolphins. Keep up the good vids mate😎

I can’t understand why people think Dart are not good eating. They are a little slimy and smelly to prep but taste delicious cooked. I always head spike and bleed immediately. Maybe that’s why they’re good to eat?

Back from Fraser a couple of weeks now. All the mates sitting on their bums waiting for the tailor at Waddy, and I'm catching 40cm plus dart every cast. Got my pb at 43.5. I agree with you mate, great fun to catch and brilliant to eat. I like my panko crumb lemon and garlic mayo! Best time of year to wet a line! Keep up the great beach fishing vids!

Hello Sammy, I live in Brazil and I love your videos and your lifestyle. When I buy anchovies, they ask me if I prefer them flat on their belly or on their back. Currently I only ask for it flat on its back so I can grill it with the head on. Have you ever done it like this?

I have watched you for several years and in that time you have eaten a heap of sashimi I have wondered why you have never eaten Snapper as sashimi .You catch them all the time but seem to overlook them for other species We eat it all the time along with whiting and the bait yellowtails . Give it a go, you'll be pleasantly surprised

Hi there! This rod casts the light weights very well with 6lb-10lb braid. I found it to fish very well and have had no issues with durability as of yet. Lovely rod 👌👌

Yeah I’d seen a few people do that. Was wondering if they ever coped a shard of shell in the hand? Also seen people belt them on the screw at the back of the Alveys
You don't need a great amount of pressure, no never any shells in finger or hand .
