Today was the last day I was able to see my girlfriend before we go to different schools next year, and probably won't see each other again. This song has helped me just the slightest bit to still remember her but not burst into tears.

But for me it also makes me think of fallen mankind, and I imagine it is heaven singing that we will be brought to perfection, despite being in darkness, we will be brought into the light. Honestly though, I think that Monty would be like that. I think he wants to be remembered for the fact that he sort of trolled us and gave us massive hints to big plot points (Blake being a Faunus and Neo being introduced). I think he wants to be remembered for the fact that he made vines while animating RWBY. But he will sleep well knowing that he is remembered and loved for everything that he did

I was going back through volumes 1-3 and came to v3c4 "Lessons Learned". The tribute to Monty's quote "Move forward" had "Wings" playing in the background. After listening to the lyrics, it makes that scene simultaneously poignant and beautiful.

I was listening to this at the end of a mid-unit math test and I submitted my test to be computer graded. Then, I saw what I got; a 66%. The tears were real when I realized that my already suffering grade was probably going to drop from a 65.3% to a 64% or something. This song, despite its uplifting lyrics, made me cry even harder. Now, though, I realize that that was just one grade and if I step up my game, then I can make it up. I don't know whether I like this song or not, but it certainly knows how to make a person cry or how to make an already vulnerable person cry even harder. R.I.P Mid-unit Math Test :(
Music holds so much power. So so much power. That's something we've been forgetting lately as a collective. Migos never makes me cry like this. Nor do they inspire me to get off my ass and go for it. And I'm not ragging on rap, there are many artists out there with the ability to do amazing things like this. But the rwby soundtrack is so full of life, color, personality, power, and passion just like the show itself. And I don't want to be that guy, but rwby hasn't been the same since vol. 3, and not in a good way. Hopefully, we get a return to something akin to its original form in the next vol. But I'm content with what volumes 1 through 3 brought, and how its inspired me both musically and film wise.
