Also Vincent Irrizarry is in a very rare club in the sense that he's appeared on Soap Operas on All Three Networks. Days Of Our Lives (Diemos), All My Children (Dr. David Hayward), Guiding Light (Twins Lujack & Nick), and B & B & Y & R. His former TV Cousin Rick Hearst also holds that distinction.
Brian Frons deserves to burn in the hottest ring in Hell of taking AMC away from us. I truly hope Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos succeed with their reboot plans.
While I put some of the blame on Frons...can't deny it was timing also. This and OLTL wrapped in the height of the recession when fewer people were home to watch it live which is what the ratings were based on...many were TiVo'ing it
The "Extras" are so hilarious. In The UK on Eastenders being an Extra is also a fun thing. There's Cindy an Asian Lady who runs a Market Stall, there's Shopsy who wears a Porkpie Hat, there's Winston from Jamaica who runs a Market Stall, and Tracy who's been a Barmaid since the show began in 1985. They are there when a confession takes place, at The Queen Vic The Neighborhood Bar, or at a Wedding that flops because The Groom is in Love with another Man.
My Sister and I loved Tad. She loved his comebacks. Also here's another fun fact. Daran Little who wrote for All My Children now writes for Eastenders. Bianca would love Albert Square, she'd have so much fun at The Gay Bar. It's a very Gay Friendly town.
I was a little disappointed that they didn't continue to do a fantasy episode like this every year. Instead we got a throwaway "fan" spotlight segment that no one cared about before they ultimately abandoned the concept entirely.
Smokey Robinson was a big fan of All My Children, and he appeared on Generations & Y & R. He sings all the way to the bank since "Who's Loving You" is now the most popular Audition song on The X Factor in The UK. The only thing is that they say it's Michael Jackson's Song.
They do similar Stories on UK Soaps in November to raise Money for Children in Need. They do Musical Specials featuring Motown, Queen or even Disney which now owns ABC. I told US Soap Fans and they were impressed. In The UK on Eastenders Ian Beale sees the Ladies of his Past including his Ex Wife Cindy who died in Prison, His Mother who is "Dead" but came back, and Pat Butcher who could give Katherine Chancellor a Run for her money. Coronation Street Characters visit Eastenders and vice versa kind of like a Soap Opera Exchange. Myrtle would be perfect on Eastenders, she's play a long lost relative.
No but Erica was married to Jeff Martin, he was her First Husband. Also Jeff & Phillip became Stepbrothers when Ruth & Joe got Married, she also was involved with Phillip's Bio Father Nick Davis as well as Phillip's Son Charlie. I think she and Victor Newman and Adam Chandler have been married the most as well as Lisa on As The World Turns.
Brooke should go to Coronation Street and talk to Gail Platt. She's been through so many men herself including a psychopath Richard Hillman who tried to drive Gail her Children David & Sarah and her Granddaughter Bethany into the Canal. Helen Worth who celebrates 50 Years this year also did a poignant monologue about a Man named Aidan who killed himself.
