      That crying baby just reminded me of the horror I felt when my 2yo threw a tantrum on Living With The Land, because I wouldn’t let her play in the water. I had to wrap my body around hers, and try as best I could to also cover her mouth. The people in front of us kept looking. I wanted so much to just leave the boat and take any of the zillion exit doors we passed, but knew that would have just made things worse. So, whole ride, nonstop crying. We were those jerks, and all I could do was muffle the crying occasionally. Why couldn’t she just fall asleep like everyone else who rides that does? That was 5 years ago, and I still feel terrible about it.

      It's not your fault, the cast member should have refered that person to used the child swap or should have said no to them. The ride is very good for what parts of the story it does show. The beast transformation is superb probably an enhanced version of the jack sparrow one at Shanghai.

    The animatronics are absolutely spectacular and fluid, but some of the scenes feel a little - empty. Something There really seems to drag, without much to look at other than the two animatronics; in addition, the ride could really benefit from a Gaston animatronic / longer fight sequence. That said, the final Belle and Prince Adam animatronics are more than worth the ride alone.

    • @mattdaaamon
      @mattdaaamon 4 ปีที่แล้ว +43

      Yeah it had some great elements but the whole Jam the main parts of a movie into one ride thing just doesn't really flow very well. I feel like they would be much better off making the long line lead up to the Ride being the climax of the film.

      I agree about the somethings there scene There’s not much to look at and you’re just kind of dancing around waiting to go to the next room, They should’ve added a scene from the tavern with a animatronic Gaston an lafou singing gastons song, Also an animatronic of Bells Dad Maurice

I feel like they should have had a few more scenes that they could have added in, like start the ride off with Belle in the tower, showing her agreeing to become Beast's prisoner. Then lead into Be Our Guest where we see a version that's half of what this version has. It leads into Belle finding the flower and being chased away, followed by the Beast saving her, which then leads into the snow scene and other scene. It should then have the Beast and Gaston fighting, Belle crying over the Beast with his transformation, then end the same way.

    After so much anticipation for this new attraction, I think they missed the mark with the scale. It’s TOO big.
    The rooms look empty, the ride vehicles look too big and the scenes are too long. It feels like they’re constantly trying to fill dead time. It feels more like a passive show than a ride. I get they were going for capacity and it looks like it can handle 1800 guests per hour which is good especially because of the queues in Tokyo but I wonder if this will have the long-term popularity that Pooh’s Honey Hunt does. Maybe I’ll change my mind when I get to ride it.

    The transformation sequence is mind blowing. That is the sort of position theme parks should be in now. But some of the scenes felt cheap. For instance the be our guest scene. Why couldnt it have fountains and more color? It really felt like it was made for a cheaper studio.

      The serving bowl form factor was driven by the proportions of a tea cup and the maximum diameter of the vehicle given the show space. Some concepts included a handle, but the vehicles aren’t a representation of Chip, so they weren’t included in the final form.

    I wish they had put that scene in which Belle runs from the wolves in the middle of the forest. The wolves would chase the vehicles, then the vehicles would accelerate and the participants would feel like they are in Belle's shoes, running from wolves, with snow falling on the riders. It would add more adrenaline to this ride.
