      Chet and Doug ,
Believe your not the 1st nor will ya be the last people to dump wrong product on top of another product , I ve done it when I was a farm hand and I had to pay for rental of grain vac which sucked because i was 15 at the time and had to dip into my savings , my boss wasn't the nicest man to work for but I learned a lot from him .
Just remember we're only human amd accidents happen no matter how hard we try .
      God Bless
      Kyle

So true I worked in a small shipyard in San Diego building and repairing Tuna Seiners after I got out of the Navy I was there for 7 of which I was lead electrician on 3 my superintendent one day asked why it took me about a day longer to wire a power panel than the other guys and I said have you ever had to fix one of mine he went back to the office I really enjoyed the work but the money would never have let me buy a house in San Diego so I went back into Nuclear ☢️ Power with many years and plants behind me moved back to Krapramento to operate or maintain Rancho Seco and the people of Krapramento voted to shut it down just as I was started training happily retired now

I have been there to witness this exact problem at the elevator by men with 20 years on the job. It happens. Great display of humility, partnership and grit to resolve it. If families could get their kids to watch your videos we could actually witness revival, and consequently see a resurgence of integrity and a restoration of family values. You've got a GEM of a channel. Keep it right where it should be, centered in the family. Much Respect Gentlemen! Cheers.

Farming is finding what not to do - each and every day. In an effort to be better at what we do we end up opening ourselves up to more learning experiences. Some are painful financially, and some are just painful period. People think we farmers sure are particular and set in our ways. What they don’t know is that we learned the hard way what way works best. We are the only job where we not only pay for it all, but buy it all at a retail price and sell it all at a wholesale price. Mistakes hurt our pride and pocket book. It was bound to happen sooner or later. Lesson learned, and someone watching this (who has been lucky) learned from you. Dougo, this farmer still thinks you rock!

Not many farm families would be willing to show the good and bad days, with screw ups included ...impressed how you truly try to show all the goes on running a grain farm ...we have done a similar thing even with an auger into a bin of another grain after we had cleaned the grain for seed... we had to take the whole bin back to the seed cleaners and reclean the bin

I appreciate DougO being cool and taking ownership of his screw up. Happens to everyone. So I have a vacuum truck and do that work a lot. The best way to vac is listen to a good podcast. Blocks the sound out a bit and it keeps me entertained because that work is mind numbing. Also thank you dougO for calling out the people who don’t work!

Boy i feel so much better, im not the only one to do an opps! After fall 2018 harvest i was hauling beans and at the endof the day i fill the holding bin. We have our bins numbered too and i was going from number 7 to scale holding and for some dumb reason i went past scale to our number 2 bin which was corn. I walked away after turning everything on. After about 5 minutes or more i realized that I didn't hear beans hit the bottom of the holding bin. I ran over to the wheel and seen it was set on 2. Well after a lot of choice words was said i climbed the bin to see about 1000 bushels of beans on the corn. We had to do what your doing but put it in the semi and took it down the road to a guy that cleans and bags seed. He got the majority of it separated. Not a good week for me. Thats another story!

Your stuff up hasn't resulted in harm or loss, just hassle and wasted time. You've instituted procedures to prevent it happening again. All good! While you're at it put plans in place for any other like problem. You guys run a very tidy operation. Well done. Enjoy your vids! Cheers.

Ahhhhh no one got hurt and it wasn’t cancer. I lose money on something everyday. The trick it seems is to always stay ahead of the red ink. I am very envious of your relationship with your father. I worked in the oilfield with my father for years while I was in high school, college and med school. I learned a lot and a great work ethic was instilled in me. But, my Air Force Sergeant welder father was a hard ass man of steel from start to finish. There was no joking or ribbing.... Just one hell of a hurry to get the job done and done right. Bless you. Cherish the relationship and closeness you have with your dad.

A fun video as well as heartwarming to see how you Chet, were right there to ease the pain that Doug certainly felt.Seeing the team effort was endearing.Instead of the embarrassing video, it turned into an instructional video highlighting the vast amount of things that could and will go wrong in a farming environment; and the sometimes herculean efforts needed to solve the issue. Many thanks and may your family have a happy and safe 4th :)...as always, thank you Nicole for a fantastic editing job.

Y’all always make light of a bad situation. Way to stay humble and calm. No one is perfect. 💩 happens. Great video!

Hey Chet: Accidental grain handling mistakes do occur. I really feel your pain. I’ve been personally involved in a similar event. Really glad you presented real things that happen on a farm. Main thing is to make sure no one gets hurt. Always have to ask how we ensure something like it can’t happen again. Captain Al from Tampa 😎

Things happen, live and learn! It was great content and I was getting a chuckle.

Thanks for being honest about the human error! Very understandable and you are willing to share the good times and the bad. Kudos to both of you for showing that even in bad times you can still work together to accomplish what needs to be done.

Glad you shared it. Farming has it's trials and sometimes it's operator error. I have seen this happen at commercial elevators back when I hauled grain. Love your video's and keep up the good work

Glad you shared this, it’s an honest mistake and you owned it, fixed it, and moved on. Wish more people were like that. Seeing how you fixed the problem was some of the best parts of the video.
