I thought the same thing until I added it up. Eggs $1.75 whipping cream $1.00 Milk $.75, Sugar $.50, nutmeg $.20, vanilla $.10 = approximately $4.20 (without the added whiskey) This makes 32 ounces! A bottle of the alcohol version is anywhere from $9.99 -$12.99 and is only 24 ounces. So I decided making my own Egg Nog at least I KNOW EXACTLY what ALL the ingredients are in it!! (Whiskey being "optional" is not a part of the cost of making homemade egg nog 😁)
Love eggnog! Making for Boxing Day brunch and spiked for in front of the fire. Merry Christmas
Looks delicious
It’s so tasty, I hope you try it!
I learned so much! Thank you for posting this. Merry Christmas ❤
You're welcome! Enjoy your egg nog!
Merry Christmas to you too.
Hope you enjoy this recipe!
Well that's easy enough, we aren't big eggnog drinkers, we tried Almond nog this year. I knew it would be relatively easy to make
Glad you liked the recipe and I hope you enjoy the next nog you make!
The cost of needing a half dozen eggs & cream plus the process makes it worth buying it from the store imho.
