Rice Recipe 2c of water 1 1/2 c Baton calrose rice Rinse rice and let soak for about 15 minutes. Drain off water and place in a medium pot. Pour the 2 cups of water over the rice and put on stove on high until it comes to a boil. Turn the stove to low and cover the pot. Set a timer for 20 minutes. After about 10 minutes check the rice. If all the water has absorbed into the rice, turn the stove off, return the lid to the pot, and let it steam for another 10 minutes. If it still has a lot of water in the rice, put the lid back on and check again in five minutes. Then turn the stove off and let steam for five more minutes. Your rice is ready to use in casseroles or as a side.
Just a thought...do you think it cooked quicker because of the size of the burner that it was on? Would "low" on a bigger burner be the same as "low" on a smaller burner? I don't know 🤷♀.. but I'm glad you checked it 😅 Thanks for sharing 😊
@@BopchisCorner that is a great question and I truly do not know. But I will check into it. The bottom of the pot is covered by the entire burner on either one so I would think it didn’t matter but I’m gonna research and find out.
Yum, that looks like something I would love! Definitely gonna try it!! I'm looking forward to more yummy recipes. 🥰
Hope you enjoy
