If there was a way to get that talent in the spec tree instead, I'd probably play a lot more lightsmith than I currently do. Do you run BoV or Faith with Lightsmith? I've only tried with BoV, but it just feels like I don't have enough globals to spare.
I do (and did in this vid) for almost all vids. Details was a little buggy during the time of this key though, so I wasn't able to show trash splits only bosses. It's fixed in more recent ones!
I use a weakaura called Targeted Spells (or something like that lol) to show me who he is casting it on. Also, just from previous runs, I know freedom has like the same CD as his Frozen Binds. So when my freedom is coming back off cd, I know to be ready to cast it... usually that is, sometimes I forget!
In my opinion, not really. I think if you were using it specifically to survive 1 shots (maybe like first boss here on a super high key) it could be good. But otherwise yeah the throughput from it is negligible. I think Tirion's Devotion or Protection of Tyr could both be more powerful, more often.
Not really. It's not that you can't play from range, but you lose access to some damage abilities, mastery effectiveness, and being a caster means you are more negatively impacted by movement (which there is a lot of). Pretty much, it's just current hpal but worse at everything. Sorry if that's not the answer you wanted.
Of course, no problem! If you're looking for ranged, Rsham might be up your alley. It's really strong right now (def the meta pick), can almost always play from ranged, and has multiple important utility for this season. Good luck in TWW!

@@jaredt759 Hard for me to say after only a couple keys. The smaller holy shocks are noticeable, but so is the increased personal survivability. Will need to play more to form my opinion. However, regardless of better or worse, it does feel easier so far.
