It's crazy how easy the racecar handles many different approaches or lines on turns and still delivers this speed. It just looks so nimble! May have something to do with Emmanuel Collard driving as well, but still. Mega to watch!
great video and good sound quality. It would be interesting to see a laptime of these 2 cars driving flat-out. Just to see how close a new roadcar is compared to an older 911 racecar.

Wow, proper driving and quite a difference to my street 996.2 GT3, which by the way is a great fun toy. GT2 RS is a beast, too. I drove a 997 and even that was a brutally capable car, both on the street and the track.
Just personal opinion: this rather shows the driver's limit, he missed the first apex in that corner where he got overtaken (guess: pressure from a following var so the car outbrake itself?). The RSR driver drives impeccably.

Probably 10 years between them and there is still no substitute for power to weight and sharpness of the RSR.
There’s no substitute for slick tires, that’s for sure.

2RS is fast on the straights but ultimately it is no match for the pure bred racecar.
