You did a really good job of clearing out all that snow Monte! Nice of you to help the neighbors, I'm sure they are happy about that. Quite a rig you have and you know just how to run it. BRAVO! What a good neighbor, we need more of your kind in this country!!!
I have virtually the same set up and after using my plow all last winter, I'm even more convinced I should have gotten a snowblower instead. Why? Because, when I plow a fair amount of snow like this gentleman, like him, I wind up with a ton of snow at the end of the driveway. Problem: You can't raise the plow blade high enough to push the snow sufficiently out of the way. With a snowblower, you can put the snow wherever you want to and primarily, away from the piled up snow banks. Yes, a snowblower might take five minutes longer but it's all relative. Besides, you're still having fun!
That turn radius I'm definitely jealous of. I have an 85 F350 dump I use for plowing and the truck is super long with a wide turn radius. This thing turns on a dime
I love to plow snow, just bought a blade for my JD 430 but still looking for the angle hydraulic cylinder. You may need to put a spinning knob on your steering wheel, it will make your job a lot easier. Nice equipment you got there.
First time I’ve seen a guy use a small blade correctly on a tractor. Most have no clue where to start and lineup their blade and end up taking a lot of wasted trips up and down their driveways.
Nice job, but I find a snow blower moves heavy snow (about a foot) much more efficiently. Don't think anyone uses a small tractor in this neck of the woods.
Nice job, are you on gravel or concrete? I have a long gravel drive and am debating whether to put a blade or snow thrower on my tractor. Each has it’s pros and cons I suppose.
Mostly concrete. We rarely get over 8-10" of snow and I have plenty of space to pile it, so the blade works fine for me. If it gets REALLY deep I have a snow blade for my skid steer.
Hey Steve, As a Plowing Contractor of 44 years, IMO.... It depends on how much snow you get. If you often run out of places to push the snow to....you'd need a snow thrower to get it over the snow berm you created with your plow blade. Plus, A Thrower could put a hurtin on your budget vs a simple plow blade. so, couple things to consider there.
If the majority of the snow you get is "dry", get the blower attachment, "wet" snow get the blade. I have both, back up plan if the blower ever breaks?
Not to be picky but..... Plowing up snow against the foundation of that house had to make it a bit colder. Also you plowed up snow around the mailboxes including leaving a mound in front of the one across the street. Mailmen need to be able to get to the box without getting out of their truck and also people need to able to get to the box. Simple things make it look like you cleared their box area and not just looked for a place to dump snow from your driveway. Then with the foundation, if there is a leak or if it leans for some reason, they will be looking to blame someone.
I plow now w my Pops Kubota, use to plow w a truck and made tons of $$$ but gave it up cause between homeowners and plowing it ain't worth the $$$ no more.. Now I just do my own and neighbors..
Someone with a plow in a video that actually knows how to use it
I agree. Thank you.

Good job and very nice of you helping out the neighbors !.
I grew up in a small Northern town where neighbors helped each other. I guess that carries through today. Thank you for your kind thoughts.
Nice tractor and plow. Good video. Fun stuff plowing snow and blowing snow with a tractor.
Looking forward to winter again
This is as satisfying as one of those calligraphy videos!

Great job.
John Deere getting it done! Just subscribed 🚜🪵👍🏼🇺🇸
Snow season will be upon us again soon. Stay tuned. Thank you.

Yes, but doesn't clear as wide a path.
nice tractor sound 👍

Good idea as long as it's not metal.
@@montekrueger9762 John Deere sells the steering wheel knobs (also called suicide knobs)
Me too
I have a John Deere 2305 and can’t find this plow setup anywhere! I have 200cx loader with bucket but I would like to have the plow also !
You can purchase a plow and quick hitch for an X7 series then get the adapters to make it work for your 2305
Very handsame machine
Thank you. It is a 2010 with only 237 hours. Always stored inside, washed, waxed and detailed before I put it away.
Buds are buds
I want a tractor .... I don't need one . But i want one.
You will be surprised how versatile they are and how you survived without one once you own one.
Go little deere go.
Nice video, my only criticism is why plowing snow against mailboxes...Makes life real hard on your mail carrier

I'm from Minnesota. Lotsa snow and practice.

Snow blowers work great on lighter snow, but the wet heavy sticky stuff we get around St Louis, a blade works better.
We call that a dusting. Nice job with the tractor though.
Second push. I plowed about 5" the night before.
I guess I should have titled it, "Second plow after 8" snowfall"

Sorry Monte, But No Way Is that 8 inches coming off your plow 1:41 in that driveway. However, that aside......nice video👍
It works, but a 54 is to small for that machine. A 66 or 72 is much better. Good job!
I agree. When fully angled the 54 does not clear the rear tires. Thinking about adding some wings.
@@montekrueger9762 get the rubber wings night and day difference
Superior Tech makes 9" metal wings. Works awesome. Turns a 54 into a 72.
I agree at least 60" would work better
8"??? Looks more like 2 to me.
That’s not 8 in but u did a good job 👍
I guess I should have titled it, "Second plow after 8" snowfall" Oops. I'll know better next time.

I'm pretty sure my 1978 wheel horse does just a good job with its blade...
Your wife must have been disappointed when you told her 8 in.
Ha! good one!
😂😂I guess we know you can't measure. That ain't no 8in of snow😂😂😂
I guess I should have titled it, "Second plow after 8" snowfall"
@@montekrueger9762 originally I thought the same as Justin but then common sense kicked in and I saw how a pass had already been made earlier
702nd like
U need to learn how to plow out around mailboxes better
Duly noted.
Lol 8 inches?
Try 3 to 5 feet average, then you'll be plowing!
Why didn’t you just push it all into the street? Cause that’s what the majority of people do you know. There’s no commonsense involved lol
Amen to that!

This guy needs to learn a heart a snow plow instead of wasting time energy and gas and Oil
Go get atv it would work beter
Can't get a belly mower with an ATV or get a front loader for one or a 3 point hitch or a rear PTO, but thanks for the suggestion
Can you shake the camera some more please?
He's plowing on a tractor outdoors , mid winter in Minnesota
I know you meant 3' three feet not inches
