it's nuts just how many monster Tweezers we have from 3.0/4.0, and this one is right up there with MSG 2019 for me. Nearly 10 full minutes of just peak after peak after peak. This is the shit I live for. What a time to be alive
When i first listened and Trey went back to the main riff at the end i genuinely couldn't believe 40 minutes passed, the most 20 minute sounding 40 minute jam ever. Also i want to give a huge shout out to Fishman in this jam, some great tight in the pocket grooves.
This was my 24th tweezer I've seen in person and one of those songs when it's winding down you know the arena has reached hive mind status. During the show I thought it was around 28 minutes and was presently surprised to find it was 40+ minutes after the show. Just goes to show how GREAT this jam was.
That build up to the 30 min mark and how the enter another dimension. The rig the sound everything just wow. Thank you for letting me escape reality. Safe travels all
I kept leaning over to my buddy (not a big Phish fan) during this song and saying “it’s still the freezer song” to him.. 😆 When it was over, he looked at me and I saw his lips say, “holy shit!” One of the best performances I’ve seen from them live.
Was in the house for this trying not to fall over the tiny railing in front of me while grooving my ass off. Just a steam roller of a jam with peak after peak. The fact that this band is reaching new heights and creating new sounds out of the air is just mind blowing. Thank you Phish.
Manteca teases all over this and the Theme jam. Ck5 taking no prisoners this summer. 2024 is a RAGER 🦀🦀🦀🦀 Have a feeling Manteca does a crab walk @ mondegreen. See y'all there!
Best tour since 2017. I am so proud of their jamming this tour. Tweezer Simple and SASS win so far Listen to that crowd at 26:13. Delicious and nutritious phish ! I smell what the Rock (Star) is cooking oh yes Very nice and dissonant at 26:30 to the end was very SOAM ish
Love this But can somebody PLEASE explain to me why… the length of the jams / versions matter????? Like; would a 90 minute tweezer suddenly be king of the hill? 2 hours? And yeah as far as I’m concerned they can shut the microphones off and just jam for 6 hours. I’m there. Hey, phish 75.0. This is well executed, but it is no Tahoe. Magic Cosmic Lightning not exactly striking here. And c’mon the transition back at 39:09 is just….
Long jams just have a higher chance of them going to exceptionally weird or beautiful places. But I do agree with you, many of my favorite jams are only 9 or 10 minutes long.
Yea length isn’t always proportional to girth. Most of my favorite jams are anywhere between 8-25 minutes. A lot of times these extra long ones meander too much and lack substance.
imho, the length of the jam doesn’t “matter” necasarily, but part of the fascination of listening to this band for years comes from watching them create lengthy improvisations that are also interesting and stimulating. is there another group of musicians who have ever performed at this level of daring and proficiency for 40 years?
@@ddaavvee68I was telling my friend this yesterday. (Who was at this show with me) The risk taking in a 35 minute improv is incredible. It’s a long time to play “on the fly” with 3 other people with 4 different musical ideas constantly floating around. And to lock in with said 4 members is a sight to see live and in person. Improvisational music is an incredible sight to see at this level when it flows together.
Gentle reminder that the world is (literally) burning (due to capitalism, mostly), and that Phish is NOT the only thing in it. Please enjoy these wonderful interludes, but do quickly get back to bringing the Revolution. Humanity needs so desperately now to come together to thwart the destruction of our only Home, brought onto Us by the ghouls who only care about profit. Right now is the time. The music will ALWAYS be here. Our collective well-being might not.
I love jam bands..grateful dead, Allman bros but this i can't get into I forced myself into 17 min of this and gave up just a bunch of noise to me not a fan at all
my first phish show- this is the song that changed my life
My second show and I got a 40 minute tweezer, what a time to be alive
I got a 30 minute tweezer at my second show that ended up on the album, a live one, Bangor Maine November 2 1994.
My lil brothers first show. Epic. Happy for you both!
@@phiend2248 That Bangor Tweezer gets way too much hate, I love how silly and loose it is!
Wow your my hero
Congratulations 🎉
Objectively the best band in the land
They kind of are. 🐠🎶🎵🎶🎶🦈💯🔥
Turkeys are better
Best 4 piece for sure
Agreed monkeys on ecstasy are great to
That's subjective, but I agree! 😂

Are we calling it 4.0 because of covid stopping tour? If so not their fault. Still 3.0
Man!!! This is some of the best phish jamming I’ve heard!! They are just so refined now!! Amazing!!
Golden Age baby
Absolutely. I don't see any other band as dialed in as these guys right now.
totally
They sounded off last night. Like anything, there are good days, and there are not so good days.

I don't know if it was the best tweezer but it will always be my tweezer. Those shows were unreal.
9th show and my first tweezer!

The St Louieezer
This is it 👀
The section beginning at around 20 minutes sounds straight out of a mid/late 90s Split Open and Melt jam!

Last night, first night at deer creek was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen in my life! Phish is peaking!

Listened to this earlier today, but wow, is it an experience with the CK5 light show and the crowd absolutely vibrating with joy!
Great run! We had a blast!
What I wouldn't give to hear a 40-minute Hood!😮👍
I still haven’t recovered from this one. Left my body around 32:00.
Love the selfless playing here. Cohesive. Funky. Crisp. 24 highlight.
I swear I heard a little green river tease in there. It was a great show! I’m so glad I caught this tweeze. I’ll cherish this memory for a lifetime. ❤

I thought my Bangor 94 Tweezer was rad. Well here we go.
It just kept peaking, live it felt like they turned the whole building into a speaker, it was borderline too much to take. Unbelievable stuff.
