Hi Andy, enjoyed the video. Your carving and wood burning are a real skill of yours. I've done a little wood carving but nothing as good as yours. You have inspired me to have another go at wood carving in the New Year when it warms up a bit. Take care Paul
Hi , Carving is relaxing, so I enjoy it immensely . I am at the early stages of my carving journey, so like you it's a learning curve . I am sure you will be far better than me.Thanks for watching and Merry Xmas to yourself and your family. Andy.
Great video Andy I like the Catweazle carving and wood-burning. Carving is not something I've done a lot of. I managed a couple of badger head toppers and a woodpecker topper and have a pheasants head that's been on going for a while now. It's something I'm going to get more into in the new year.
Hi , I am at the start of my carving journey and would like to expand into animal Toppers at some point. I am stuck in a loop of customer's asking for woodspirits. I guess it's in line with the Folklore theme I have going on. You're a true craftsman, and I could learn a lot from you and more traditional stick maker's. Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy.
@@hiddenvalleyfootpaths2561 Hi Andy, from one craftsman to another, Thank you! But honestly I don't think I or anyone else could teach anymore than you already know. In fact I've picked up quite a few tips from you.I used to be a member of The British Stickmakers Guild but realised it was mainly for show stick makers which isn't me at all. I like to make a working stick and not something that's going to stand in a rack.
Depending on lengh really and what is wanted on the stick. Under 120cm is £ 3.76 postage. Over 120cm and postage cost is around £12.00. Basic, model £25 and the price goes up from here depending on work and materials. This is negotiable with the customer and what's asked for. Sorry to be vague, but any thing over the basic models is individually priced. Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy.
Hi, I am slowly upgrading.I will be doing a few more Woodspirit hiking sticks next year. Eventually, it will be necessary to get better carving equipment..Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy.
Hi, thanks for watching and commenting. I have my basic models which are £25 .They come with bark and some stripped with a simple woodland animal burnt onto them. If it has a hand grip carved into the handle or oversized copper tip that can be £28. After this it's time and material depending. Deer antler topped sticks £45. Heavy gauge sticks like the path finder £45. Custom is by negotiating with the client. My dearest so far has been £100. . Hope that helps, but I operate at the lower end of the price market. Your items may command more. Thanks for watching and commenting. Andy.
You are a true craftsman and artist.
Hi , thanks for the supportive comment. Much appreciated and thanks for watching. Andy.

Nice bit of Dremel work, you just need to invest in flexible shaft for Dremel they our really cheap band makes it safer to use and a lot easier
