Yeeeeeeeeessss I was waiting for more harmonize videos and boom! Here it is and as part of a warmup too! you are awesome Jeff. Every day I practice with 3 or 4 of your videos and I respond to your talking during the video, you are like a friend to me right now, thank you so much for your amazing work. A big hug and much blessings from argentina.
Do you have two cameras as you switch back too your hands on the piano or someone is filming you, pretty good makes the video so smooth and easy too follow your hands ,helps o lot.
Totally loving this harmony session. Thank you Jeff, began following ur YT channel since the lockdown and I must say my singing has really improved since then. Am hung on all your sessions now.
Hi Jeff, I've been practising with you since the quarantine and I've got to say that I've improved a lot thank to your exercises in every aspect of singing. In fact I learned to use the mix voice because of you. Thank you very much.
oh man these harmony singing exercises are brilliant and fun. I realy like the last one with the numbers and the lyrics combined. thank you so much. blessings from Berlin
Jeff you've outdone yourself this time, I love this! If you ever do more maybe with minor scales or other intervals, I'll be the first to like them. Cheers!
That's awesome! Even though I'm a mezzo soprano, I sing with the Altos at church because they always seem to have the harmony parts and I wanted to learn how to sing harmony.
Thank you so much for this Jeff; harmony singing is always something I've enjoyed doing whenever I've had the opportunity to do so. This vidio will allow me to practice so I can become better at it. :) Keep up the good work mate. Thanks again from Australia.
I loved this video I've been looking for this type of harmony tutorial, is there any more like this with you singing along its so amazing to hear when the harmony is working against your voice! Thanks you
I'm going to do more of these, so they're on the way. In the meantime: th-cam.com/play/PL2mQP7sE6PHjQJ3mX9Yu37wm43EB6stDu.html Thank you for watching! Jeff
Love these sessions. Have you ever thought about doing a live session on you tube and you can take live question about singing or warm up etc. Or get them involved in the live video like on Instagram
Indeed I do think about that! I used to do it every week. I contemplate bringing it back, but I haven't looked into YT's streaming system in some time. I'll give it some thought! Best! Jeff
Hi Jeff, Thank you so much for everything. You and your videos are gifts that never stop giving. I’m new to harmonising and I’m struggling to understand what melodies here I’m supposed to be singing? Should I be matching the piano, your voice or something different in order to properly work on harmonies? Please help!
Very detailed and helpful videos Jeff, thank you! I am a songwriter but every time I struggle a bit too much to write vocal melodies that I really like. Basically I don't let the song be guided by a solid vocal melody but I rather adapt the melody to the chords (a little forcing it sometimes) so sometimes I think I'm not good in finding chord progressions either because I can't blend good the chords and the vocal melody together. I think I've got a lack in ear training but i'm not sure is that. I'd like to develop more creativity in vocal melody. Do you think Is there any way to practice this? Your answer would be very helpful. Thanks again ❤️
Thank you for watching and thank you for your kind words! I do something similar, and to avoid this, I record the vocal melody I'm thinking of acapella before I start playing a guitar or piano. Nothing fancy, just on a handheld recorder or a mobile device would do just fine. I can always come back to it for reference if in adding changes I find I'm strayed too much. I hope that helps! Jeff
