    32:00 If Mr. Rushdie is looking for the culprit who made religious “sentiments” being offended a crime, then he should look no further than the Indian secular brigade who premised their entire politics on the idea that people’s ideas and beliefs dressed up as religion are off-base for conversation and discussion why, apparently for the sake of “unity”.

    How can you respect a person and at the same time make mockery of his/her beliefs.

    • @oshosaravanan2847

      A person is different from the beliefs he or she holds. A belief is just that - a belief. It is not a very special thing. The person, however, is real and deserves proper respect and consideration. You can disagree with a person’s beliefs yet be respectful of the individual.

    India Today, should know that in the name of freedom of speech no person or group can insult any religion, it's holy book or messenger.

    • @sorenutpal6091
      @sorenutpal6091 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your religion probably has a lot of things to hide or facts that you don't want get exposed, that's why you say religion is above of freedom of speech.
      Charlie Hebdo made fun all the religions but Religion of peace was the only one that responded like that.
      In conclusion-
      Religion of peace is the most intolerant religion full stop.

    One minute silence for those who believes on Rushdie’s seld-made statements. Rushdie is delusional and He will definitely regret later for what he has done.

  • @Nazir2311

    Rushdie an absolutely mean person. I think he had taken things for granted. If he had wanted to try his literature work then he could have taken over other religions that exist in the world and played with it. Just to gain fame and wealth he had written it. I would have loved to see people's reaction if he had written about other religions such as christianity, jews, buddhism and hinduism. One shouldn't be biased to say that no one would have loved and praised him then. Just imagine and see the picture where he is making a mockery of other religions deity. People in comments here are appreciating for his nuisance and I'm shocked to see India today conclave presenting him a stage to speak utterly nonsense in the name of freedom of speech.

      Have you even read the book you nonsensical doofus, do you know what’s it about?? A mythological figure about whom everything is known was presented in a fictional manner, that’s all. There is nothing n he added which the Quran hasn’t mentioned.
