Your religion probably has a lot of things to hide or facts that you don't want get exposed, that's why you say religion is above of freedom of speech.

Rushdie an absolutely mean person. I think he had taken things for granted. If he had wanted to try his literature work then he could have taken over other religions that exist in the world and played with it. Just to gain fame and wealth he had written it. I would have loved to see people's reaction if he had written about other religions such as christianity, jews, buddhism and hinduism. One shouldn't be biased to say that no one would have loved and praised him then. Just imagine and see the picture where he is making a mockery of other religions deity. People in comments here are appreciating for his nuisance and I'm shocked to see India today conclave presenting him a stage to speak utterly nonsense in the name of freedom of speech.
Have you even read the book you nonsensical doofus, do you know what’s it about?? A mythological figure about whom everything is known was presented in a fictional manner, that’s all. There is nothing n he added which the Quran hasn’t mentioned.
There are 100s of books written mocking Christianity. Go and research.
