Yes, it was nearly perfect. Our first training weapon is a one-handed arming sword and in some sources the one-handed sword and a messer are used interchangeably. So it translates to sideswords as well.

I am using pike armory sidesword (the same from the video). I don’t have a good recommendation for sideswords tbh. I don’t particularly like anyone.
