    @Bumper776 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

So, Billy the Kid was born in 1859 and lived for 91 years when the average life expectancy was around 60 years. Apparently planning ahead to his life on the lam from the 1880s until the 1940s, he creates a new identity in 1879 for the fellow that is later known as "Brushy Bill". Pat Garratt risks everything literally to create a coverup so someone who murdered two of his deputies and his predecessor can get away and start a new life. Of course, he needed the help of several people including two new deputies and the people of Ft. Sumner. Heck, I think that "Brushy Bill" faked his own death and is still alive out there somewhere and enjoying life at 165 years old.

Many people lived past 90 in the 50's and before. Average life expectancy is just that, the average. Many infants and children die and and adults at any age while many live well past 100. Remember that the average life expectancy for a male today is only 73!

What I do find interesting is that both Brushy and Billy have what is known as Pediatric Trigger Finger which essentially means your thumb gets stuck in a bent (flexed) position. It can no longer straighten. My point is if you look at both Brushy and Billy’s thumbs you can can see they both have that condition which i don’t see many people pointing out. I mean during his official lifetime he had a lot of excuses a lot of people didn't feel like that Billy had anything to apologize for and every town pack Garrett went looking for Billy the kid Pat Garrett was considered the billing Billy was considered the victim now I'm not saying Billy considered himself the victim but the people did.

It's hard to believe even more than Pat Garrett's account. That Brushy the kid came out when he heard shots with his guns blazing and didn't once hit anyone. Yet he get 3 bullets once a head shot and another a face shot then a third in the shoulder. 😮
And yet Pat didn't go after him ? The kid Barlow would have been a collateral damage in between a gun fight.
Better yet why would a kid (Barlow) that was new to the area go for meat at the house of Maxwell at midnight ? Did he know Maxwell that well, then how come Maxwell didn't recognize him.
The odd thing is that many people saw the dead kid and stated that Pat killed Billy the kid. Yea people might point to the deputy Poe and claim he said " you killed the wrong kid" , but Poe himself cleared this up years later. In which he at first thought it was impossible that Billy the kid would come here. Again to emphasize everyone that saw him claimed it was Billy the kid.

Then later researchers going thru court records, government records, personal correspondence between ppl that were there during the war, including his own correspondence between Billy and Gov. Wallace, proved that Brushy was right, and the Historians wrong. Pretty impressive.

Okay, I'll try to explain nicely what I think about MAGs Live.
But first I want to tell you that I used to believe that Brushy was BTK but I have realized that Brushy was not BTK and Brushy is not a legend but an annoying topic that constantly comes up when you freely discuss BTK.
Brushy has been debunked so many times over and all the hard facts point to him not being BTK.
Brushy had every opportunity to learn about BTK's life from people who knew BTK if he wanted to so Brushy's knowledge is worthless that way.
If Brushy had not included so much when describing his life, he would have been more believable at least.
I mean no harm and you can believe and think what you want about Brushy for me. Now to MAG's Live.
I think he wanted to play a prank on us just so nothing to get hung up on. What I'm most surprised about is how well he could do it and how convincing he was and didn't break character once and all this live.
He probably had a good laugh afterwards.
      Peace ✌️🫶

He 'let's' Foliard lead? Could it be that's just the way it panned out? Could it be his friend was his equal along with the others acting in concert?...most of the time, until the dung hits the fan and he's off and running. Garrett didn't have to convince the population. Most were unsure themselves and only a few saw the body...save for a small handful that helped Brushy escape. Garrett didn't likely know if or how many times they hit Brushy or maybe that it even was Brushy if he was still thinking he'd gotten him already. So he commits to Billy being already dead for the reasons you mention, needing him to be. The locals say he used a shotgun though. Being the population was Mexican, and they knew who's side Garrett was on, I doubt anyone had to coerce them.

Yes I do believe Brushy Bill story, why do most believe that Pat Garrett would have been telling the truth after all of his misdeeds, lies, dishonesty etc etc and let's face it , it was Upson and Garrett that put that whole legend together, why so much stock held in that story. Seems to me too much has to be lost in revenue, jobs, etc if they change the story now which lets face it probably is true. Steve Sedewall, Dan Edwards have much more evidence than Garrett ever had.

I believe you re right and remember a law man in Lincoln County was nothing more then an outlaw with a badge bought and paid for by corrupt men in power. Thats outlaw justice for you and I think Garrett simply lost his nerve and felt that after 3 failed ambushes his luck was running out against Billy.
That makes Garett not only a liar but a murderer and the end of his life was pretty pathetic as he got a taste of his own medicine.
