I get how you feel, but I very much prefer these short and dense quests instead of having them unnecessarily dragged out into oblivion like in some other cases (*cough* latest HSR quest *cough*).

World quests are meant to be long, after all you explore an entire area while doing them. This is just story inmersion.

@@stargazer2572 There are multiple scripts that the characters in genshin use as their written languages, you can find them by looking them up online.
They're quite simple to use too, they aren't languages that were made from the grounds up, they're literally just equivalents for the latin alphabet, so you can just take one sumeru script letter and try to find its equivalent in the latin alphabet to decipher the message that Caribert left behind!
The battle between Dainsleif and the Abyss Sibling has unfortunately gone off-screen.
Neither of them are even close to being playable, they aren't just gonna reveal everything they can do in like 4.7
We'll only see their powers when dain is nearly playable and aether regains his powers or if lumine ever becomes playable

I feel like the people complaining about how short this quest is dont realize how short ALL of the Dainsleif quests are. Im 90% sure the Dainsleif quest in the chasm was less than an hour.

The first dainsleif quest ( prelude + actual quest ) is about 2 hours
chasm quest is 40 min / hour
caribert quest is hour / hour and a half
and this one is also an hour / hour and a half
@KamisatoFayato Yep, so I wasn't surprised when this quest was short compared to what a lot of other people were expecting. My only gripe with this quest is that we didn't see Dainsleif vs abyss sibling; maybe next Dainsleif quest we might get a sneak peek on what happened.

But did we really forget thou? Like the thing with irminsul, we remembered because we weren’t from this world…so it’s laws doesn’t apply to us. Therefore it’s hard to tell if we really forgot…or even if we did…that picture at the end may jog our memory again
I think so too…. Afterall a descender should be immune to that… unless the reason we forgot is because it was a collapsing and dying dream… which we’ve been in various times
they forgot because it was just from hilichurl guy's realm, but he died so it technically doesn't exist anymore. that's why we can't rmb, like in sumeru time loop, paimon told us we saw a moon but we didn't remember anything.

Literally, when Aether said Lumine would forget I was like: "Nu-uh, YOU will forget because you're tied to the Irminsul, I am a descender." *Traveler forgets* "What the actual fuck...?"
Not only we didnt get Dain vs Lumine, I would have love to see that, he didnt even say goodbye to us he just straight up see how we are doing while we are asleep and left, now we have to wait another year ror him.

Now we know who the five sinners are. That means it could be connected to the disaster 500 years ago in this game And how'd the people got turned into a abyssal monsters? Not only that, this could be related to the descenders remains.
The book Perinheri explains the monster transformation actually….. once they leave Khanrey’ah those that betrayed the seven become monsters…. Since everyone left Khanrey’ah during the cataclysm… they became monsters

just me that felt this quest was bad? like I love the hole conversation between the siblings, but that shit excuse of "we will forget everything", plus, the fact that dain got such a short screen time, for the quest we like, have to expect a hole year(or next to it) for it to appear it felt really dissapointing. Just an opinion guys take it lightly

Caribert tho- my heart- I genuinely teared up when I realized who he was… and when he explained everything then he disappeared I sjebsijksjekedn- and then the reunion- my gosh Aether freaking out that someone actually called him his really name for the first time in almost 500 years (yes she did during that other quest, but he probably didn’t even realize it with all that was going on)

They make other quest so fcking long and this one is short?! Where is the cut scene or dain vs lumineeee????? Where is the dialog after aether and paimon see the pic?!. Im full of tears when they met.. huhuhuu. Its kinda cheating that lumine can touch aether in the end
Wait, this now makes a lot of sense with that Odd Textual Mystery quest. He waits until night so that maybe someone (Vedrfolnir?) can see or hear him and gives a list of names. In Houkai Gakuen, not sure about 3rd, you find out that Anti Entropy gives their members nicknames like the names Dain lists. A-nti E-ntropy also = A-stral E-xpress maybe? But there's a thing said in the Odd Textual Mystery quest "the first name is the murderer" and "the second is a red herring". I actually think Dain is against both the Abyss Order and AE because they both messed with his family but he's gotta keep it sneaky because he's being watched and is literally standing underneath a net for a lot of the convo.
Another sneaky detail is if you add up the numbers in the book title of the Mystery quest you get 95 which put as 九正 where 正 is a tally mark thing for 5 but you could also read it as Kyuushou a character from Houkai Gakuen though that isn't how her name is actually written in the game. Other than that there's a lot of evidence pointing towards Kyuushou return in Genshin and that she and Dain are related.

I wonder if we'll see the Abyss Order & the Fatui clash at some point? The Fatui, through Dottore, are going to burn down Irminsul (the Ley Lines with it) at some point so that'll be the biggest threat to the Loom of Fate
That’s the thing…. I don’t think that’s gonna inconvenience them at all… if anything… it’s gonna make things easier for the Abyss Order…. With the Loom of fate they can make new Leylines
@JoshuaA1307 oh yea, it was said that the curent ley lines are to deep in the ground and it would be hard to make new ones, but with the irminsul burned, the abyss can basically get a hold of like the whole teyvat and control it rules

I'm so confused. Aether wanted Lumine to find the specific flowers in full bloom. She did, and she said it couldn't have been a coincidence. So is Aether writing some memories in the Leylines? Or like a new leyline with the loom of fate? In the preview trailer Dain said if we prove we are worthy to rescue her (Im assuming Lumine) "The thread of all fates shall be yours to re-weave." Also thank you for being so quick to post this!

Someone didn't do their lore homework: Hilichurs are people. They are the common folk of Khaenri'ah who got cursed.
No, the hilichurl died became loom of fate, and now wandering across memories to experience a life he was rejected -tldr of this quest
To make a more accurate explanation: hilichurls are the people that betray the seven cursed into monsters. Some of the people managed to reside in Khanrey’ah creating half blood… during the cataclysm, they all left the nation, and thus became monsters.
their plot reminds me of shakugan no shana, where lumine acts like yuji wanting to change fate but can't bear to work with aether/shana
