I see lot of comments, "Clay trader shorted this and that, causing the price to drop" on ihub and other forum sites quite often. When I just started to trade about a year ago, I didn't know any better and I really believed what others were saying about you. People need to be educated. Not just relying on forums. I think your chart technical analysis is awesome and helpful. I really appreciate your TH-cam uploads!

Eugene Hernandez When shorting a stock, you're borrowing someone else's shares and selling them at the current market value. If the stocks go down in value, you rebuy at the lower price and return the shares. The difference is your profit. If the stocks go up in value, you rebuy at the HIGHER price and the difference is your loss. This is why you're required to have the extra amount before you short... to cover any potential losses when you have to buy the stock back.
In theory, a stock's growth is unlimited while it's drop in value can only go to $0. So if you anticipate a stock to go from $0.01 to $0.001, you'll make $0.099 a share when you go to sell them back. But if you're wrong and that stock goes from $0.01 to $1.00, you're on the hook for $0.99 a share!
So if you shorted 1,000 shares at $0.01/ share ($10 total) and the price rise to $1/ share, you'd have to buy them back for a total cost of $1,000. That's a 9900% loss! And no, I didn't forget the decimal point!

Not worth the risk. Why tie up all that capital in such an inefficient manner? If they have shares to dump (especially when they are basically endless), then they're just going to dump away... no logical sense to introduce a variable of risk into the equation when it's essentially free money on their part.

But MM's most defiantly short these OTC tickers all the time. well, i was just commenting on math behind this example. duno what was your aim of this video, if you want to compare dangers of penny stock and 1% gain on regular market, sure penny is much riskier to trade. but if you trade penny stock , why to trade with 1k only on 250k account? you can trade with 2-5k per trade (2%) and then your profit will jump up and its hard to catch up on regular market(for same gain you need 0,5mil+ account). little disclaimer, i do not trade small cap or micro cap companies. you should stay miles away from penny stock.

I am getting confused. I heard that last traded price is the current shares price so my question :
    1. If there is many people infront of me who wanted to buy a certain shares for price of $1 but I put in my bid price as $1.10.... does that mean people who is selling at $1.10 close with my offer 1st?
    2. If there are various prices infront of me like $0.90, $1.00, $1.05 etc for a certain shares and I put in my bid of $1.10, does that mean seller which ask for $1.10 closed with my offer overriding all people infront?
    2. So after closed the price at $1.10 means the latest shares price is $1.10?
Apology if all these questions sounds stupid but seems like nobody can answer me so far.
