Problem is that lots of local riding spots are quite sensitive to bikers, this happens to be my local, and biking is not allowed but has been tolerated and you tube vids just showing it (not even promoting it) aren’t helping and it is rapidly spoiling it for local riders who only just getting away with it is it is.
I’m sure lots of us experience this at our own locals

Spectral vs Strive? I've been looking at the Strive for a while, but the new Spectral is also pretty tempting. I believe Neil had/has a Strive, so I would love to hear a head-to-head comparison from them!

@@lukeneill1568 Torque is pure Enduro and a lot heavier than the Spectral, wouldn’t say it destroys both of them, it’s all in what you’re looking for.

Spectral if you like to play, Strive if you only care about going FAST
The Spectral is fun at slower speeds, and is more playful
The Strive feels like shit unless you're pushing it right to the very limit of speed and grip
You both always look like you are having the time of your life when riding together!

Awesome video guys. You show your total mastery of bike handling perfectly with ease, fun and friendship. Reminds me of happy days 30+ years ago daring each other to drop into steeper and steeper sections of the old quarry we thrashed in North Devon with the No Sweat crew. Btw, totally rigid with pretty dodgy tyres/gears/brakes and protection when my dream bike was a Kona Cinder Cone...
Great video, but I would have loved a longer tour for the 3th day.. As you know, the jumping part on day one, on day two the technical stuff and on day three the more xc/long day in the saddle part of an "do it all" trail bike!

This could have been two vids. Give us more of the fellas chatting and discussing lines, more pub scenes. Bring us along for the trip, not just the highlights. I understand this is primarily to promote the bike, you did a great job, I want one.

Way beyond the level of trails I will ever attempt - I would just slow you down, or I would be your camera man riding the easy trails around you.
What I really learn each time I what Neil and Blake is that if you are going to jump it or go down some impossible side of a mountain, you had better do it without any hesitation or you will crash. So I will just watch. Crazy flying circus, you two!

I would love to see a comparison between the Canyon neuron and spectral. I’m in the market for my first trail bike, but am not a gnarly rider yet. I don’t do big jumps yet and live in an area where there are no mountains, only hills. So lots of climbing is required. Even though I would like to have the option to take my bike to austria, zwitserland and france. So i’m in doubt which bike is “my bike to rule them all”. Currently i’m leaning more to the neuron.
What would you suggest? Perhaps you could make a video about the strengths and weaknesses of both bikes?
I have exactly same problem. Currently I have a hard tail with 140mm fork, but I'd like to trade it for a full sus bike. 150mm on spectral seems kind too much for terrain around me but neuron seems kinda not enough sus to visit some mountain trails.

Another solid video GMBN! Great content (as expected!) and I particularly enjoyed this one because I’m planning on grabbing this sick new Spectral soon! Very glad that it showed the frame size on the bike Blake was shredding! Their sizing is confusing but I know I’m the same height as Blake from watching an older q&a video. Now I’m more sure of buying the medium size! I’ve always ridden medium frames so I guess it’s not that big of a deal 😂 cheers!

For me the perfect bike for this is a 2018 Slayer with its Ride-4 System. You can change the frame geometry in few minutes with just a single allen key. Not too complicated and is a bomb proof bike.

I bought a Canyon Spectral CF 9 27,5
two months ago and it is great, my only complaint is that my brakes are too weak for that model.

At 47 I think I need a Down Country bike. Another category! But I like the idea of a light, capable, modern geometry XC/Trail bike. Liking the look of the Transition Spur ........... but it's about $10,000 here in Aus!! Maybe a Norco Optic?
GMBN just proves to me time and time again that it doesn't really matter what you ride if you know how to ride it.
They're shredding Hardtails, XC Bikes, Trailbikes and any of those at a higher level than I could shred a DH bike.
I need to fucking step up my game, man..

Question... at 11:30. Blake tosses a stick over a drop. Is this a technique I never thought of to better judge distance on a gap before tackling it? Any science to it... how do you judge the result? I like the idea though. Curious to hear more.

Great video, I will love to see Spectral 27.5 vs 29. I got my 27.5 maybe 5 months ago and I don’t know what to do? Lol. Pros and cons will be great. Or just input since I’m pretty sure at least one of you have tried both.
27.5 is more fun and corners really well.
I don't get why the 29 is like 64 deg head tube angle and the 27.5 is 66 deg.... Why does the bigger wheel make it less slack so they have to make it a slacker head tube for that version?
I wonder, do you guys ever crash when doing these videos? I mean, there was some gnarly stuff. I always like when the MTB pro videos have one or two little shots of crashes. Shows that its part of the game and that you are indeed humans 😅 But maybe you don‘t crash when filming this stuff? Love the content fellas! Shred on!

All the marketing aside great video 2 mates riding sick trails ,just bought a used norco 29er 150/160 carbon ,it pedals unreal corners fantastic riding it easy or hard is so much better than my old 27.5 bike
And I was staunch 27.5 !!
