@@bambaramba6509 Hi, they refer to it as a race ski you can ski on all day. It needs some work if you want to get performance out of the ski but can also be skied easy.
Which lengh have this Ski what you tested here. I'm 184, what you will prefera for me? Sorry for my bad english :-) But thank you in advanced for your answer.
A very important question for me would be: How is The Cure compared to a similar category ski, a HEAD e-Race (the black one)? What's the big difference between those two skis? Is the Fischer as stable as the HEAD with its EMC technology? I'm really struggling between those two skis for my next ski. It would be wonderful if you could help me out.
Hello, Andy! Would be glad to know your thoughts regarding the new Atomic Q9 Revoshock S and how does it compare to The Curv? Which of these skis would you pick at the end of the day?
For 2024/25 the rage is: The Curv, The Curv GTX, DTX, DTI, DTi AllRide, TI, PWR. The TI has a 13m radius at 164cm whereas The Curv is 16.5 at 174cm The TI Will be softer than the Curv
If you're in the U.S then they say the Decon is a front-side ski but for anything that wide I would put it more into the variables with the Curv GT being 70 underfoot you may find it a little harder to use in the soft, slush and off-piste but that depends on how good a skier you are. I think I would personally compare the Decon with the Fischer RC One GT86 which I also did a video about.
@@SnowCampsEurope hello Andy thanks for your reply, but the Curv GT should be 76 underfoot, so its getting closer and closer to the Deacon 84. I need something grippy on ice, low vibration caused by frozen groomed snow, which really hurts and for funny rides off piste in deeper Snow. And of couse in heavy molten spring corn...Cant really decide, didnt tried both skis at all... any idea, which one should i pick? Thank you very much.
Just wondering where is the difference to the actual model, I know the new one is a bit wider, 2mm i think. Right now I'm thinking of buying a RC4 CT with M/O or then the "the cuv" but it's hard to find "the curv" to test here in switzerland, to compare these two. I'm looking for a carving ski with different Radius which makes me happy even in the afternoon. So I think it should be the curv for me.
Hi Dinu, based on what you said, I think The Curv would be a great ski for you. Switzerland will have test possibilities for the new skis this Fall. SSO Testcenter Zermatt (beginning October) and Davos (beginning September) and a traveling Fischer Test tour is being planned (in December).
Thanks Andy. Great review! Q please: are these good for intermediate skiers? My friends loves these but he is a bit lost. I am advanced and have Stockli sl and Atomics redster s7.
Hi, great question. I am 170cm tall and I was skiing the 178cm ski. This winter I have been skiing a 175cm Atomic X9s and I don't really like it so much but for the last 9 year I was skiing between 179cm and 183cm Atomics which where better the Fischer RC4 The Curv is also available in a 171cm but I think this would be too short for me. Hope that helps.
For someone who skis mainly on piste with artifical, hard snow (with occasional moguls, soft snow, varying conditions depending on weather, etc.) would you rather recommend the CURV or the RC4 WC CT? Both skis are marketed as top-of-the-line race/performance skis, yet there is not much information as to the exact - and possibly subtle - differences between the two. I would like uncompromised carving/race performance (although I don't do official ski races), but want a ski that's enjoyable for the whole day on the public slopes (as opposed to a FIS race ski on a closed icy race track). Thanks in advance!
Regarding lenght, I am 175 and have always skied skis in that length, but the CURV only comes in 178 or 171. Since my regular slopes are quite narrow, I am tending towards a shorter (although definitely GS radius), meaning I would opt for either the 171 CURV (for potential mogul rides, shorter is more comfortable) and 175 WC CT (as the smaller ones have too short of a radius for my preference).
@@nicogerst6007 Thanks for the question, I have not yet skied the RC4 WC CT but from what I know about the ski it is a shorter radius in a 175cm 15.5r and 180cm 16r and also heavier than the Curv. I would personally go with the Curv is you want a more versatile ski for varying terrain. Hope that helps and ill try to get on a pair of RC4 WC CT's soon.
Hi Nico, I was able to ride the CT on Saturday. Super ski, the faster he goes, the more comfortable he feels. The HUGE manko of the ski, is the hole in the shovel. If you drive in softer snow, Sulz, then you are sprayed full from top to bottom! For me, the decision is clear, the Curv it will be.
@@dinukaufmann4487 Great answer, thank you so much! The other RC4 models with the hole have a plastic cover at least, only the WC CT doesn't... I bought the Curv now, too
@@nicogerst6007 great, in which size? I'm not sure about it, 171 or 178. Normaly I'm more into medium to short turns, so i think the 171, would be mine.
Hi The GT is a little less demanding and a little more versatile in differing snow conditions. We are preparing to make a review of the GT in the coming weeks.
Please help me in choosing the right ski I'm let's say intermediate to advanced skier and I want to buy a new pair of skis I stopped at: - Fischer RC4 The Curv Race TI + RSc10GW - Rossignol Pursuit 700bTI + NX12K Dualb2018 M - Elan GSX PRO PS + ELS 11 GRN All from above are at the same price I'm 1.80 cm and 82kg looking for 170cm ski. I apreciate if you can help me choose.
Hi all of these skis should work for you although I would go Fischer or Elan myself if your visiting a ski resort most hire shops will allow you to test the skis before you buy them and then give you the rental cost off the new skis. Hope this helps.
After all of the requests about the Fischer Curv GT we have finally been table to ski on the ski and you can see our review here th-cam.com/video/xVAlL9WcN3U/w-d-xo.html
I have the 19/20 ti - Hardpack piste it is the shizzle and will suit medium to expert, they do need a bit of work but are also forgiving if one finds themselves slightly on their heels occasionally. Did n't like them too much in tracked out semi frozen off piste crud but that's not what they are made for. And for the price ! bargain.
Do you have a question about the Fischer RC4 The Curv skis? Place it below and we will get back to you.
Is it too demanding or it allows some minor mistakes? Do you need to be 100% concentrated all the time?
Great video! Thanks a lot! 😊
