- South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol addressed a joint session of Congress during his visit to the U.S. He honored the "great American heroes" who fought in the Korean War and praised the ongoing relationship relationship between the two countries.

He was a Prosecutor General who put all the corrupted presidents and politicians into Jail previously. Thus, so many Korean people voted for him in order to keep a true justice in Korea. He is indeed the greatest President Korea has ever seen in history of democracy.

I have not heard such a reminder from any other foreign leader of why the US supports and defends principled freedom in the world as South Korea's president presented here. This was surprising. What other foreign national leader has articulated the importance of our alliances so well? Veterans and missionaries sacrificed their lives so Korea could have a chance at brilliant freedom. Also, when has Congress been so amicably united in enthusiastic applause over anything?

We are just about to rebuild our relationship which was broken last five years by the former president who was extremely skewed to China which was not supported by any single Korean citizens. Now we are on the right direction. So glad to see it. God bless our alliance.

Unfortunately, if you study our population and where most of our income is generated, it’s a sad reality but South Korea is heavily dependent on export and import. Previous president wrecked the country’s economy by shutting down nuclear power when we don’t have enough tech to fully utilize solar power etc. Also, he regulated working hours and granted privilege to daily workers where they are abusing the right to their own interest. Increasing working hours does not literally mean we are forcing people to work that certain time, but rather give flexibility to run the companies.

As a Chinese maniland citizen I watched this video in full time. Although my country fought with US-Korean Alliance in the Korean war, I found this speech touching and persuasive.
I am deeply impressed by the effort of President Yoon to deliver the speech in full English, in such a span of time (more than 40 minutes), and I am even more surprised by the times of standing applause of the congressmen have delivered in return.
Though I can't agree with many points of view he has said, but neighther could I deny the sheer knowledge, detemination and charisma he has managed to convey through this speech.
I hope the world could have more leaders like him, building bridges rather than cutting them, and I hope more people will come to China, and more Chinese come to the rest of the world, thus we could understand each other better, more understanding and cooperation, less conflict and stand off.
to my fellow Korean friends: South Korea was the first foriegn country I visited in my life, it was in 2008 I visited Jin Zhu city for an high school exchane program and lived in a friend's house, later he came to China and lived in my house. I visited Seul, Jeju island and Busan.
Your country is beautiful and advanced, I hope I could visit it another time.

He has never put corrupted presidents into jail as a Prosecutor General. He more of needs to send a former President who is suspicious of treason into jail now. One more thing, Another former President, Park, didn't take a dime. She was forced to go to jail due to political mischief by lefties and some false righties. She was so clean that some politicians and lefties are afraid . Anyway, that's the flaw he has cause he used to work as assistant special prosecutor then. Anyway, he seems to apologize to her now.

Do you have to be that guy? I'm imagining he is way more educated in the English language than you are.
South Korea now becomes the only country in Asia to defend freedom and democracy along with the U.S., checking China and Russia. Its dynamic economic power and military strength (its own rifles, tanks, armored vehicles, self-propelled howitzers, and even fighter jets so-called FA-50 and KF-21) will help the U.S. to uphold peace and prosperity in the region as well as in the world.
Their capital city Seoul is only 20km away from the North Korea border and any rockets can hit Seoul easily from that distance. I wouldn't bet on South Korea to defend democracy, their chances of winning is really low. By the way, more than 50% of the entire South Korean population are living in Seoul.
