As someone who has driven a tractor trailer before, I was VERY impressed by the truck mode. Great design, detail, and functionality. Cab separation and movement is definitely a plus in my book. I also agree that the plane mode was indeed quite sleek. As for robot mode, it's not bad. I'm not a big fan of Octane, but he seems to have a G1 look to him so that's a plus as well. All in all, great review. Love the skits so please keep them coming. Hope you and yours have a happy holiday as well.

I've seen a few reviews on this guy and I dont think they transformed him correctly. yours is the only review i have seen that makes this guy look so much better. well he is on my list for sure now. great review and Merry Christmas!
I bought this figure after some thinking, I think it's one of the coolest actually. very well made and the gap does not bother me. I don't even think of it. I showed it to a friend as a robot then transformed it to a plane. He did not even think of it. He was so surprised when it also transformed into a big truck as well! great job Keith's Fantasy Club
I have some issues with the design(especially with the way the wings just hang off the side of the tanker mode, but that's a tradeoff for really, really nice, clean wings in jet mode, I just wish they could have been internalized somehow), but weirdly my biggest problem is this: You have a giant, diamond shapped gap in the base of the jet mode. You have a large, unpainted diamond shapped shield. How is your answer for storage not cut two slots in it to slide it into place over the landing gear and hide that ugly mess but instead totally ruin the jet's silhouette by stapling it to the top?
im still amazed at how octane rises to this level of fame when in reality he only got to it cause he took the main role that wasnt meant for him for those that dont know the g1 episode starscreams ghost octane wasn't meant to be the main role that was originally meant for blitzwing due to his actions in the g1 season 3 pilot five faces of darkness and it was the original intent of him being exiled form the deceptions to continue in said episode but instead to promote octane they just shoehorned him in blitzwings role with no explanation and blitzy stayed with the cons like his actions never happened
I was waiting for a "And two hours later..." screen. Seems like it has too many delicate plastic parts that could easily break. Downside of a triple changer I guess. The amount of engineering going into the design is impressive though.
Nice truck and plane modes both for once, but that face sculpt is pathetic, and the transformation to get there is the kind of complicated that goes past fun into being a chore. I'd give this one a miss.

I think they did a pretty good job on all 3 modes of this figure and it looks like a pretty good figure!
That extra face is the classic include an accessory only used in one episode of the G1 show. It's the face of fear from the Starscream ghost episode.

I prefer his truck mode for the alt mode. It just looks better to me. I find it hilarious that they give him a shield but no sword. Merry Christmas!

That's exactly what was thinking they could of used the shield to clean up the back.
At least the "Metallic" Repaint partially addressed your concerns. The shield was no longer unpainted.
It looks like they favoured the vehicle modes, they’re probably the best versions of his vehicle modes and the robot mode is pretty good too
