Congrats on first place don’t know how I feel about main deck droplet/boardbreakers, HT lineup looked a little lackluster, no raging phoenix is wild, and no Mulcharmey is bold but GGs I guess can’t imagine what the matchups were💀
Droplet is mained due to the fact that it's effective no matter if you go first or second. Talent is honestly very situational and whenever I ran it at multiples in the main I'd either never get monster hand trapped, it'll prove to be ineffective in getting me out of a situation, or just end up being dead with a dead hand going first so it's one of those cards that's just too situational for my taste. Ht lineup is solely for coverage as cards like Nib or Droll might not be super effective against enough, but can come up in combination to really kill my opponent. Plus for the sake of coverage with Crossout. Raging Phoenix was one of those cards that jumped up in price when I needed it so I ultimately opted to never get it, but honestly look at all the Fiendsmith Snake-Eye builds; that's one of the cards a lot of people cut. It's a great card but not a necessary one. And Mulcharmey is due to me not having more than 1 copy, but even so I don't see myself needing more cards to play through my opponent, I need to have the right cards to do that. I did list my matchups in the description.
why only the 1 Garunix? I run 2 in my deck and find his effects to be really good, I just can't see myself running 1? Some help here would be great! Maybe i'm missing something?
You don't want to see it in hand; adding a second one only increases those chances. It functions best by extending with it after searching it from Island and then when it's in gy to keep hitting back. Garunix requires that a fire gets destroyed so if you're not facilitating that consistently it's not doing enough. That's why it's best to keep it buried in the deck rather than to try and see it among your opening 5. This build especially wouldn't be good at hard focusing Garunix like that given the engine is small. In pure builds it would make more sense where you'd run 3 Kirin and multiple copies of Island and in the future run Ulcanix, but for a Snake-Eye hybrid the Snake-Eyes don't facilitate destruction in the same way.
Knightmare Unicorn It's the closest thing to an S:P and if you watch your arrows you can mulligan a card. Nothing truly has the power that S:P has since both its on-summon and quick effects together are just too strong, but that's about as close as you can possibly get.
@@quicksmasherlp5247 For the most absurd reason you could think of...I don't have it and never picked it up! And at this point I'm just waiting for a reprint anyway so I'm playing without it. Same reason I haven't bumped Black Witch up to 2 or 3. Besides I've noticed that people have been playing Fiendsmith Snake-Eye lately without it and that my performance without it is still excellent I can say that it's a win more card. If you have it though I would highly recommend playing it, but if not you can definitely get by on whatever other options you desire.
Depending on who goes first makes the mirror and (especially) Yubel a pretty big threat, but are only as hard as our hands are suited for the situation. Kashtira is a nuisance to have to push through. Gimmick Puppet you have to either go first, hope they brick, or make room for Dogwood in the side to hope to draw the only card that assures they can't do what they want to do.
Others have addressed it before I. Any amount is fine, but people suggest 2-3 now due to how strong the Fire King line end up being as they are. For what to remove as much as I hated to do it Temple and Birch come out first or some of the handtraps or supportive cards (ie Prosperity, Droplet) to make the room for it. Haven't been able to play as consistently lately which is why this reply is so late and why I don't have a solid answer past this for now.
I considered Phantazmay, but I focused on the cards that will make a direct impact against my opponent rather than to get a body on board and to mulligan through deck a bit. As for Purulia I only own 1 copy that I pulled from prize packs from the last ots championship in my area. As mentioned before I just find that having the actual counter cards are better. Ultimately I feel no need to boost consistency with this build. Everything feels as consistent as it needs to be and I'd just rather focus on using the slots I have for what they serve. I see both cards as mainly consistency boosters and not necessary; there hasn't been a game I felt like I needed either.
Saying you dont need 3 Witch is wild imo youre losing out on consisteny so maybe in a 4 round tournament you can draw good but in a 8-10 round tournament ur deck is just going to be worse also u dont need the snake-eye field spell one because the body snake-eyes diablestar provides doesnt accomplish anything two you dont even play it and 3 if youre comboing with it the combo is just worse than the normal fire king lines. Also the end board youre going for is a very breakable end board the endboard ive been going for is 7 interruptions + Draw 2 w/Heatsoul. 2nd Princess not needed and Unicorn is just a waste of an extra deck space
I only have 1 Witch and was not going to overpay to complete a set when reprints are right around the corner. Plus I said I didn't need them as in I've reached engine consistently perfectly fine without it. If anything I'd only want to run 1 more out of the playset I ordered now that they're $15 to replace the Prosperity slot since the ratios work perfectly fine for me and I don't want engine to clutter either. The field spell is still more clutch than you'd think. You place Ash to be summoned off Oak later or you place Oak to get off Flamberge later. It's much better than using Diabellstar for Original to then have Poplar to search for nothing; those (very frequent) situations lead to you thinning deck too. This end board it's the safest, most consistent board to end on and has worked exponentially well for me. Contrary to your claim, people struggle greatly to break through it and need the absolute nuts to break it. Also contrary to your claim 2nd Princess comes up quite often. My opponents play thinking I don't play the 2nd and when I do bring it out it hits them hard. Unicorn is definitely me just filling the extra with fodder and I like the idea of Heatsoul, though the summoning requirement seems to be a bit situational to me. However considering the type of format were in I don't feel safe expending 2000 life points for the chance to draw an applicable hand trap. Ultimately Unicorn was cut for the Garunix XYZ which can come up some times and Gryphon will be a Raging Phoenix when I can get one for a good price.
@@VZDuelist we can just disagree then the end board you’re going for isn’t the safest since it allows drnm to be better against you’re deck whenever it does nothing if you end on amblowhale + Heatsoul and the field spell is just a brick and does not win you games
@@thejuiceygo Princess would then re-facilitate everything through Arvata. Ending on Amblow means you have to destroy Amblow with Arvata otherwise Princess prevents getting back IP to continue with that. I'd rather be in a situation where you have open access to IP instead of access via situation. Plus Arvata serving as the later interruption versus early (which is what you'd have to do for Amblow) REALLY gives you a lot more control than you'd think.
@@VZDuelist I think it’s probably correct to end on Amblo Arvata to play around nib thru combo which a 2nd princess would come up or you can high roll and end on Amblo Heatsoul plus kirin in hand both of those gives you access to ip so I have no idea what you’re talking about

Thanks for the list! Great Video. Please, follow up with a full combo video in depth with situations (nibiru etc) ! Keep up the good work.
Hey man you should make a combo video of this deck list I like it and would want to learn how you pilot it!
Great video!
Great job on the W
Would like to see combos! I've been playing the 1 engraver to make caesar to insulate from nib so in curious how you play around nib without it👍
Definitely interested in a combo video

Any good budget option to replace s:p for people who can’t afford it? I do have raging phoenix if that’s possible I just can’t afford s:p right now
