Sunwapta Falls was as far north as I made it. I drove up and back to Lake Louise the same day. Of course it was totally different in the Fall. The hoar frost is brilliant. I've only seen it once or twice in the mountains here where I live. Still waiting to photograph a Winter snow in the mountains here. Thanks for posting from one of the most beautiful places in the world. Stay safe. Stay warm.

@@simoncennals We will be there in Summer on our RTW drive, but it should be considerably warmer and more crowded. Trade offs :)
Great work and good information in all of your videos.
It would me more helpful if you create videos with month of year as reference in your video when you had the trip as it will help out audience to plan their trip.
Also can you create a video on which season or months of the year best to visit Banff and Jasper?

Fabulous photography. I have questions. We'll be driving in May from Prince George to Banff. I would love to know how many rest stops there are along this route, Here on Autoroutes in France they're every 25k. I need rest stops!
Hey Kathy, I wouldn't expect them to be that regular, you're covering almost 700km! Also it depends what you mean by rest stops. They're will be lots of pull overs or turn outs. These will be laybys with bins and some times toilets. Those toilets can be very basic though and just be drop/compost toilets.
You will pass little towns though and be going through Mount Robson which has some great views and a nice gift shop/refreshment stop. Then you can stop in Jasper and there's lots of stops in the Icefields Parkway to Banff that offer fuel and snacks however I'm not 100% sure if those places would be open in May. Either way you'll have an amazing time!
I am about to do this drive at the end of March. I’m a little worried though that the rental car won’t have full winter tires but only M+S tires and it’s also a 2WD. Curious what tires and drive you had and what your thoughts are on driving on M+S.
I'd highly recommend winter tires the road will be snowy and icy even in March. Keep in mind that's no cell service or gas stations open at that time if year either.

Hi there, which month did you take this video? I'm looking at going in December and im hoping its not that cold 😂
This is January. It could easily be that cold in December though so come prepared. Recommend traveling with blankets and some food incase you do breakdown so you can stayed warm. There will be no gas stations open and no cell service between lake Louise and Jasper. And check road conditions before you go. Snow tires are a must!
