I was very lucky to see him on Broadway. I enjoyed the original cast, but his performance truly made the show. What an incredible voice! And boy: He could hold his breath for SO LONG!
Mr. Sills took the time to meet a friend of mine living with hiv backstage years ago in Ny City. Great talented kind man. My friend passed and all these years later I recalled the meeting. Nice memory. Thanks again, Sir.
He sings with such passion and depth of feeling every time!! He sounds almost on the verge of tears at the beginning! It's beautiful!! I wish I could've seen him in the show. But since that's not possible, I now desperately want to find a video of the full musical, if anyone knows where I can watch it.
Wow, that was fantastic! Delivery, voice, emotion, he's got it all. I've never heard it sung so well by Doug Sills. His voice is somewhat curious - deep in higher registers, rather shrill in lower notes. But he's got pizzazz and what I call watchability. Where has he gone since the late 90's?
Supposedly he left the business from burn out? I’m not entirely sure. I ask that question a lot with actors who got their break in the early 2000s but honestly they probably are doing work that’s less known.
This is my favorite song from the show. Actually, I love all of them. Everyone was fabulous, especially Mr Sills and Christine Andreas. I saw both the original product and the second one, and even though I liked both for me, the first one was the better version. Wish it would be revived.
You know Its going to be so hard for me to imagine him as Gomez Addams. He had been confirmed to be on Tour of the Addams Family musical. If I do get a chance to see Douglas in the tour of the Addams Family all I will be hearing is Percy. For that's what I know him as.
WAH!!!! meef. meef meef meef. I can't even form coherent sentences with all the videos you've sent me today, utterson! They're frickin slayers, all. I have to get you Ragtime, by the way. It is amazingly beautiful and makes me cry. Stokes DIES! and so does Audra! really everybody does, but yeah. Wow today is a wonderful day for musicals!
@bwaystar88 Yes. Isn't he amazing? XD I only found out about the musical and him playing Percy a short while ago. Now I regret not being born earlier. Now I can't see the play the way it used to be. ?_?
although he has an amazing voice, i just don't think he quite portrays Sir Percy the way he is in the books. i know that isn't exactly important but he just doesn't seem to do the character complete justice. too emotional, i think, when he's not trying to be his inane, foppish side.
I saw him on Broadway. He sung with such enthusiasm the audience cheered and clapped every time. Douglas Sills made the show!

He really is adorable! He is so perfect! I love the book and though I've never seen the show, I love the music! What a great voice!

He owns the song. I've never heard a cover in any cabaret performance or on any album, which is surprising.
Absolutely he's is incredible
I melt very time he sings!
His performance was amazing. I got to see him on the national tour of the play when I was in college. :D

MAGNIFICETENT.
I'm in love with quite a few men I've never met. All of them are beautiful, meefy broadway stars.
ha ha, i don't know anyone that can sing that song that early in the morning
I could very well be in love with a man I'v e never met. He's literally perfection. That voice!!!!!
Georgous.
*sigh* I love him
I love Douglas Sills' voice...seriously.. I get jealous everytime he sings. He has always been a little cheeseball-esque for me though.

@RoronoaEmi The scene in the book where this song is happening was a very emotional scene for both Percy and Marguerite.
