*@**9:05**: Speaking of "Tokyo" ...* the toponym *"Gulf of Tonkin"* is a European adaptation to the Vietnamese namesake of *"Đông Kinh"* (東 京), which was what Hanoi was rather bafflingly called under the Lê dynasty.
Not sure about Marco Polo seeing these ships as he was around during the Yuan dynasty. Only quoting what was mentioned in earlier episodes. And I doubt there were ships of that scale during the Yuan dynasty.
How did I miss that? Already deleted that from the audio but might need to take this one offline and re-upload the fixed version. What would I do without out you Bunny Jin?

Soooo . . . IF BeiJing = Northern Capital, NanJing = Southern Capital, DaoJing (tokyo) = Eastern Capital was there ever a Western Capital ? If not what would it be called ?

There was not. Although Xian was sometimes referred to as 西京....The West Capital. Tokyo was Dong Jing.
