I am the one who took the deal about a month ago. Thanks for showing my boat on the boat show. It is a very solid boat even in the rough weather. I have been a subscriber for some time. 😀
Thanks for subscribing and congratulations on your purchase of the 2250! It was an impressive sight at the show and we're glad you allowed Northside Marine to display it. Cheers 👍 🙂
@Do-iz6qd Yeah mate, I was at the boat show and pretty much all the luxurious yachts were 100k or less... NOT! 😁 Seriously, what people are prepared to pay for their toys is up to them. "Stupidity" is dwelling over it and trolling mean comments on random YT vids 👍😉
The boat show is a great event. Totally agree with you, Mark and the guys from Northside Marine are the best! I got my boat there, and Bill and Mark were fantastic! Keep up the vids!
Excellent video, really enjoyed it 👍 I love both your channels and watched every single episode ( some two or three times ) Sending love and best wishes to you and your family Mark 👍 ❤️❤️❤️❤️ keep at it please 👍👍👍 love from Britain 👍👍
Life isn’t a dress rehearsal Mark , make the most of your hard work , oh and I enjoy watching your channel to so its for me as well ,so yeah you have my permission 👍👍 go for it Cheers from down South
i reckon that 2250 is close to the ultimate trailer boat be interesting to see what you do doe's twin outbound bring more security to real off shore trailer boating how much doe's it weight will you need a ram or a isuzu truck to tow it how much fuel it will hold
In NZ a mate of ours has the 2250 CC Walk Around. He needed to upgrade to much larger bilge pumps plural, where we fish we cross a gnarly bar and frequently take many large waves over the bow, the walk around channels the water back into the cockpit and if enough comes aboard really effects the handling of the boat and not in a good way. Other wise capable boat. We fish a 7m aluminium cat. Good luck.
Yes, I have wondered about water over the bow running down the sides. It's obviously a negative and something that we need to consider. Thanks for the feedback and heads up 👍🙂
Yes, James and I were thinking that we might have been better off buying the supercab but in the end we picked the fisher instead. The 2050 supercab is a great looking boat and no doubt very capable 👌 🙂
Yeah l must admit 8 people (compared to 6 on our current boat) is a big difference in space. It might only be 2 more but so often with family boating we've wanted that one or two extra so someone missed out. Cheers 👍
If you can manage a 1850 you'll manage a 2250. The bigger boat gives you the confidence to go further, going further means you are then getting to spots the masses can't/won't go to which means more fish. We recently upgraded and whilst the cost was hard to stomach it does mean we catch a decent feed of fish every time we go out.
That's positive for us to read and great to know that the upgrade should be easy enough to manage. Cost of recreational equipment (boats/sports cars) are always a difficult thing for us "Joe average" to stomach but the older I get the more I realise I can't take money with me 😁👍
Love the Stabi's but I have to say bigger boat won't catch more fish, skills and experience does that. There's a couple of fishing channels in your state one who has a much smaller stabi who slay the fish but they are several levels above you in skill and experience. (I get it you know that its a different genre altogether) For filming and more passengers then that's a valid reason and it will help for sure. As for safety it won't make a difference your boat is bullet proof more bullet proof is still bullet proof the safety of a boat is more dependant on skill of operator at that level and how far you push it, more capable boats get pushed further but all have a limit. Comfort, yeah in some circumstances it will be better. I have owned many boats up to 9M here in NZ as I get older and more retired I am going smaller currently building a 4.5M basically as its more versatile and easier to manage and own but then I mostly fish solo or with a couple of grandsons. It is also planned to be very capable for bar crossing and open water (picking my weather well) and also trout fishing and having fun with family beach lake days towing the kiddies around on ski biscuits.
Loads of advice based on obvious years of experience all wrapped in one post... Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Yeah, honestly, we are under no illusion that a bigger boat is necessary needed or better but as you suggested if we do "upgrade" it will be more about having a dry cabin and the walk around for filming and fishability 👍🙂
The money you save not changing will pay for lot of offshore charters with experienced skippers that deliver the goods. Friend has similar size boat and it is awesome but really needs few crew to cover the fuel bill and launch, luckily he shares ownership costs with 2 others. While bigger boats handle rough better not going make much difference on calm day and given your sea legs thats days you should be targetting. Build your subscriber base to a few 100ks and you might endup with long term use of larger boat for free.
I don’t go fishing. Or at least i doubt you could categorise it as fishing. 🤣 But i love watching your content. I just find them informative, funny and relaxing. Plus i find it as an excuse as to why i don’t go for real fishing. 😜
Some beautiful boats there Mark! Like you i am also a Stabicraft fanboy. That 2250 looked really nice! Love the full wrap around fishing on it. If you ever get rid of your 1850, me and my 8 year old son would love to have it!
There are so many great boats our there but I do love our Stabi and often when you have a good experience with a brand you tend to stick with it. Cheers 👍🙂
I don’t think I could go that big, for my style of fishing and mostly local trips a 6-7m boat is perfect, its hard to get the perfect size boat for what you use it for I reckon, I looked at some bigger boats the other day and I definitely couldn’t fish and reverse up on my marks like I do now, and thats how I love to fish, I love a good balance between size, economy and fishability, With also being able to be comfortable enough for extended trips out to the reef etc, I have mates with big boats and are great for comfort, but fishability, towing and economy is more important to me, Big choice Mark 😅
Hey Robby! Well, you're a lot more experienced than us and I watch in awe as you reverse up with your boat and pull up big fish at the same time. I know a bigger boat won't make us better fishermen but it might be a tad more comfortable on overnighters. We're still thinking about the upgrade - time will tell 😉👍
@@selfsuffishingme i’m the same way. I’ll buy a ticket every week to prove that dreams are not free.😂 Thank you very much for the reply. I would change a few things on the 2700. I’ve put a hard top over the back deck put the Lou and a shower and around configuration which I’ve seen on a 2800 now I’ve got to go and buy another lotto ticket🧚🧚♀️🤑😂
I do like the new 2350 what a beast! We're thinking the 2250 might fit our style slightly better that's all. We'll definitely look into the skids over rollers - thanks for the heads up 👍🙂
Just adding a couple of things that I found I needed to change are change your blue sea switch to a VSR switch system it enables you to charge your start and also house battery - batteries also look at a solar system as well to your electric motor battery. And probably the most important thing is a proper fuel gauge either a in-line sensor that has been calibrated so you can see via your MFD.
@@selfsuffishingme lol, my comment come from a place of jealousy mate, I feel I know you well enough from your gardening channel to have left the cheeky comment. I look forwards to future fishing videos mate.
Newbie boat upgrade question. Does the dealer help you with selling or trading your current boat ? What does that process look like . Else is it just trying to private sell online ? (Currently have a 6.4 fibreglass half cabin , which is great and has taken me pretty far on decent days out of mooloolaba, but it’s too much of a family boat, thinking of going for a fishing boat with family comforts when needed vs a family boat with some rod holders…)

I have a bridge that has been in the family for years. I am very interested in selling it if you are interested.
Should take Mark out for a fish to make vid on it!

@@selfsuffishingme Yeah but surely you could have aluminum tradesmen building a hull for someone from scratch for cheaper.
Another Mark, adventure. 😊
G'day KP great to sea you here 👍😁
Asahi! love that beer. Their 0% beer is really good too. A hot afternoon in the garden is thirsty work!
Lol... cheers 🍻

Woohoo, stabicraft factory just down the road from us in Invers (Invercargill) NZ !! Enjoy your boat!!
Those prices are crazy!

G'day Iain and thanks for the approval mate! 😁 Love that saying about life not being a dress rehearsal... So true! Cheers 👍🙂
Was awesome seeing you again mate, catch up at the dealership again soon
Thanks Andrew and thank you for your excellent work on our boat and others. Professional tradies like you keep the world going (literally). Cheers 👍🙂

Sounds like some large scuppers would be way to go for bar crossing. Ideally type that can be lock closed whèn not needed as they typically leak.
Thanks Mark
G'day Wayne, thanks mate 👍🙂
Good day Mark, wondering have you seen 2050 supercap at the show ? I reckon that is a really nice small boat !!
Yes, James and I were thinking that we might have been better off buying the supercab but in the end we picked the fisher instead. The 2050 supercab is a great looking boat and no doubt very capable 👌 🙂
The StabiCraft does look nice. The larger size looks like it would comfotably take more people too.

Do it, just buy it 🤙🏽
Lol... We appreciate the encouragement! 👍😁
Wow, if only
Send it Mark! Send the check to DVA mate haha
Lol... 😁👍
Much prefer a Surtees then a Barcrusher over a Stabi. But then again, I'd love a multihull first and foremost.
Can’t beat cats mate had 3 HYDROFIELDs great fishing cats just ride that bit soft
All good boats 👍
Wow to many boats

The new 240 is the1 for ya
Yeah, that's a bloody nice rig also! 🙂👍
I hope the new Minn kota auto deploy and stow is more reliable my 2021 model was a piece of shit. Would break multiple times a year!
Go to 27 otherwise you gonna be buying another boat everybody buys 3 boats to get their best Boat🤑👍
Lol... We had a look at a 2750 the other day and it is a big beast of a thing! If I won lotto... 😁👍

Spending your social media influencer money👍🏼 Imagine the size of the boat you could get if you started and only fans account 😬😂🤣
Seriously, I'd have to pay people a ton of money to follow me on onlyfans 😁 👍
The New 2350 didn’t appeal to you hope your trailer is set up with skids rather than rollers it will be much easier and less hassles.

I wouldn't get rid of the 1850 it's plenty of boat for you. You need to learn how to walk before you run
Thanks for the feedback 👍🙂
I rather spend the money in Australia.
BOAT = Borrow Another Thousand lmao. The prices on those boats are ridiculous.
They should give it for you for free
I wish! 😁👍
The problem with stabicraft is they are so ugly and overpriced l wouldn't ever consider one
Doesnt matter how big your boat is if its shit out there its shit not worth going out.
True 👍🙂
$300k 🤣 I mean the price is great if you have more money than brains.
Well... Brains has never been my strong point 😁👍
