As long as the wing and tail skin is intact you could probably fly that plane without any cover on the body whatsoever. That's just to reduce drag. If anything it might fly better if they just pealed all the remaining skin off the body and flew with the bare frame, since duct tape is almost certainly way heavier than whatever was originally covering it.

Looked up Belite Aircraft on Wikipedia: "On 6 June 2019, the Belite facility was destroyed by fire and the company ceased operating" Guess that's one thing which duct tape can't fix :(
I didn't realise the excavator lifting itself into the truck was a myth; I've seen it several times in construction sites near where I live. I guess health and safety isn't a high priority 'round my neck of the woods!
It's definitely not a myth, because I have done it myself! Granted, it was a much smaller excavator and a lower flat-deck trailer, but the technique is no different.
Added twice the ducttape therefore the plane is twice the weight and could possibly not even get off the ground? What? That's a blatant lie for some fake drama right there. They added 5lbs of weight to the plane, that's the difference of the pilot being a little heftier or taking a bag with stuff along the ride.
I see your point, and I think it's mostly for drama. But on the other hand doubbeling the weight on the wing tips and control surfaces could (I'm no expert) over strain the guide wires and internal metal structure leading to breaking
Yeah really the only legit concern here as someone who has flown aircraft would be a change in the center of gravity of the aircraft. Aircraft are designed so that that center is around where the wings are. Extra weight say on the tail of the aircraft could make it significantly harder to control because it would force the pilot to continuously have to push the nose down with the elevator to compensate. However you'd probably need something in the order of 20 or 30lbs to start making a difference. Even on an ultralight like this aircraft.
Notice during the wind test they have sandbags on the wheels. Proof of application for the treadmill runway myth. Push enough wind across the wings and they’ll make lift.
In the original story, the pilot radioed for another pilot to bring him the tape as well as a few other materials. It wasn’t like he crashed in the wilderness, it was a known landing site. The myth was more about whether the plane could actually fly when you replace the skin with tape
Honestly the only one in this episode that I had any doubts about was the rowing excavator.
