The house collection is one of those franchises that I loved from a young age. Don't get me wrong none of the sequels come remotely close to the original but I had a lot of fun with them and it was great to see them get this kind of treatment. I managed to pick the standard editions of the exorcist and texes chainsaw massacre. They really do look the best they have ever looked. I need to keep an eye out for 'it came from outer space.' I have 'war of the worlds' on 4k and that looked incredible so i can inagine what it came from outer space will look like. 👍
Trust me David if you loved how war of the world's looked on 4K you are going to love it came from outer space. I couldn't believe how beautiful it actually looked even if it is black and white. Great video as ever...I think my personal favourite buy in 23 was definitely It Follows! The whole all-round presentation including transfer and everything inside the box was just wicked.
I have seen a few unboxings for it follows and I am definitely going to pick that one up sometime this year. The entire presentation looks amazing and it's great to hear the transfer is equally as beautiful. Thank you so much my friend for taking the time to stop by

You're right about Arrow last year they went absolutely crazy. I do love the yellow edition of that Bruce Lee set aswell and it sold out so fast. I think the psycho set was the best value set of the year aswell. I don't envy you putting that list together Keith but it's a good problem to have and shows things are healthy and people are buying these editions. That house edition just looks unreal and always I will mention how annoyed I am about night of the living dead having no HDR as its such an important film that gave birth to the zombie genre, it deserves maximum effort and attention on the transfer.
To be honest Steve the Bruce Lee collection was always going to be my number one. I knew the minute I got it in my hands. It's one of those releases that you just know you're in the presence of something quite brilliant. Arrow Video had such a great year and I absolutely agree with you when it comes to the psycho collection. Yeah I was absolutely gutted when I heard about Night of the Living Dead not having HDR but I have to admit it still looks absolutely fantastic but you do find yourself wondering what It would have looked like if it did feature Dolby vision or HDR. Hopefully someday we will find out. Thank you as always Steve for taking the time to stop by

The only flaw I have with the Bruce Lee collection as you know yourself Gary is the fact that Enter the Dragon is not on 4K and if that was in that release it would be the perfect collection. It deserves to be number one as I'm sure you know yourself. Thank you so much for stopping by

Yeah I heard a lot of people complaining about physical Media in 2023 and to be honest I thought it was an incredible year and I'm hoping this year will be stronger. Hey Keith, quite an impressive top 10. it was a great year for 4K releases, picked up many more than I was planning to. hopefully 2024 is just as good. funny, you mention the Bruce Lee Chuck Norris fight growing up I saw the Bruce Lee movies on TV and we knew he had passed away. Then Chuck Norris became really popular in the 80s. I can’t tell you my surprise when I saw the movie where they fight each other I couldn’t believe it didn’t think Chuck Norris was old enough to fight Bruce Lee back then, but obviously he was, that is a great fight. When I watched Way of the Dragon I don't know why but I had this strange feeling that it was going to be a real one-sided fight but I was very surprised to see that Chuck Norris held his own. There was one scene in particular where Bruce Lee grabs a chunk of his chest hair and I was in tears laughing when it happened. Such a strange scene but it worked incredibly well. I have to admit I do agree with you I never thought Chuck Norris was old enough to star in a Bruce Lee movie and when I found out he was in Way of the Dragon I was quite surprised by it. Having reserved the due-to-be-restocked UK 4K Oppenheimer Steelbook at around £35, I just cancelled and jumped on the Italian LE 4K Steelbook for £25, which needs no further explanation so thank you for the heads-up! if The Last of Us ever finds its way onto the Xbox Series X I'll also gladly take that journey, as I've seen some incredible gameplay footage and it looks highly compelling. 🙏👍😄

Great pick on, It Came From Outer Space, Keith, what a classic. This is another one I have seen so many times I've lost count. The John Wick edition is beautiful, it's a shame the 4th movie wasn't in the box. Never the less it's still really nice. How could you not have Fifth Element on the list it really is a fantastic edition. The 4K on this is stunning. The House collection is also stunning and the first two movies were brilliant. Some great picks Keith, what will 2024 bring us. We will have to wait and see.
Well I can tell you so far 2024 is not bringing me a whole lot. I actually had a deluxe release of Exorcist Believer and the Titans of cult release of gladiator coming out this week but unfortunately I'm not getting mine until the end of next week. Other than them two I don't have much going on but having said that it is still very early. Weather 2024 is going to be as good as last year I honestly cannot see it but I'm hoping I'll be proven wrong. Thank you so much Gary for stopping by. I missed you in the comment section

Some amazing releases in 2023 Keith totally agree Arrow produced their best set to date with Bruce Lee Golden Harvest collection imo. I managed to get the yellow box set. I have been a big fan since watching Enter the Dragon many years ago, and it's still my favourite film. I did love the final Game of Death, which is a wonderful tribute to his unfinished project finding the log scene and remastering the footage into a wonderful mini film. Interesting to see what comes out this year for sure , its a golden time for collectors of physical media as mass production declines but if companies like Arrow continues to produce these cracking editions then we will be well served for a few years yet !
I'm not one bit concerned Matt when it comes to physical Media especially after having the year that we had. Like you said once the likes of arrow Video, second sight, shout factory, vinegar syndrome all of them continue bringing out the releases they have been I think everything is going to be fine. There is a huge market for physical Media and I think it's getting bigger each year if 2023 is anything to go by. Great to hear that you picked up the Bruce Lee edition yourself and to be honest it was always going to be my number one. Nothing comes remotely close to the effort that was put behind that release. Very nice top ten Keith, most are not to my taste but the sets themselves are brilliant. Worth keeping an eye on the US Arrow releases mate, my Barbarella 4k store exclusive artwork edition is superb and cost me less than £40 all in. The Conan films are out at the end of this month as well, still in two minds about these, not a huge fan but it is Arnie. Take care both of you. Gaz.
I actually seen an unboxing for Barbarella and I am thinking about picking it up myself. I've never actually seen the movie before but I'm definitely aware of it. I'm just like yourself I'm not quite sure what to do when it comes to the Conan movies. I do love the first one but I wasn't crazy about the second one. I will sleep on it and see how I feel. @@millerman9991 The Conan movies are available as a two film set in a hard box or separately with slip covers. So you could get just the first film on its own, which is what I might do actually, plus I have a $5 voucher I could use. By the way, Conan The Barbarian has three cuts of the film. Cheers. Gaz.

2023 has certainly been a fine year for collecting Physical media & collectors editions will keep getting better for 2024, physical media dying not in my eyes !!!!!
I totally agree that Warner can do a lot better for their collectors editions, but "The Exorcist" editions were some of the years best releases, its a classic no doubt but i do prefer other horror classics to it, the bible edition on show here is something special. WOW what a edition for "Night of the living dead"
Plaion Pictures i get my spaghetti western series sets from them, top quality label, late to the party on that "The Texas Chainsaw massacre" set, the red packaging & the cards sold it to me, my copy is coming.
The Fifth Element" EverythingBlu edition i didn"t know about or the "Leon" edition, but i did pre order the "First Blood" edition" which is one of my all time fav releases, it had to be the Bruce Lee Golden Harvest set 😎 & the Chucky set is exactly the same style packaging.
Arrow video still setting the bar for releases from the UK, a fine list Sir.
There seems to be a lot of people out there doing videos on physical media and the fact that they think it's dying. I'm not sure where they're getting their information from but if 2023 is any indication it's actually getting stronger and hopefully 2024 will be a better year. Plaion Pictures is one of my go-to German websites. They bring out amazing releases and their packaging is very Solid as well and I find their delivery charges to be quite reasonable considering they are coming from Germany. Great to hear that you have the Texas Chainsaw release coming your way and you are going to be blown away by it when you get it in your hands. Oh by the way Carlos how beautiful is that Rambo edition. Arrow Video have had such an incredible year and I actually was trying to get hold of child's Play but it's sold out on Amazon so the only way I can get it is directly from Arrow. The only problem is there's going to be a hefty delivery charge. I'm not too crazy about the artwork on it but it's a set I desperately want. Awesome I especially like the John Wick, The Fifth Element, House and Bruce Lee collection. I just translated what was written on the John Wick book. Русские народные сказки афанасьев / Russian Folktales by Afanasyev. It's interesting because only last year I learned some Russian because I saw a movie called ВИЙ (1967) (pronounced VEE) which is based on a famous Russian folktale.
I'm almost certain when I put out the video for that John wick collection somebody came onto the comment section and translated a lot of it. There's quite a few pages inside the book. Yeah, J-cards. Why do they have to use glue? It's so annoying. When possible I always just leave them, so I won't do any damage.
Just a little hint: Item number 3 of the package I've sent you is actually a release of one of the movies in this video.
You are the biggest tease Patrick 😆🤣. I'm keeping an eye on the tracking and hopefully it won't be too long before I have it in my hands. I'm going to have to go over my top 10 video and try and guess which movie
J-cards that use glue or tape are evil, especially when they're skrinkwrapped inside of plastic with the item. They left visible dot marks on my Exorcist Bible set, and then sometimes tear or rip color off if they're very thin and flimsy. On one of my Steelbooks the glue dots were so sticky I had to rub an ice cube on them just so I could get them firm enough to peel off without wrecking the J-card 😭
@TwoTailedCaperer I do not understand for the life of me why they simply cannot have the J card wrapped around the edition without any glue spots. They are causing far too much trouble. Thankfully nothing has happened on my end. But I'm sure it's only a matter of time before it does

I really wanted that Bruce Lee Box Set but it just seemed all the copies were damaged. IN the states, Diabolik, Grindhouse or Orbit, it seemed like all everyone got was all damaged copies. So, nope. What a shame.
I do remember hearing about all the damage a lot of people got when it came to the Bruce Lee collection. You should have taken a gamble on it from Amazon because if something happened at least you know you won't have any trouble sending it back. It's an amazing release and it's a shame you missed out on it
@@millerman9991 I don't order from Amazon anymore. 100% guaranteed to be damaged, and it isn't just send it back. When it is another Country, like UK and I am in the US, they make you pay and they will only re imburse a tiny percentage of what it cost to send back. Like 8 euro when it costs $40 to send back. When all they have to do is use even the slightest bit of packing material, which they refuse to do. Not worth the headache.
Yeah unfortunately it has a long way to travel for yourself and I can see why most of your packages come damaged. If I'm completely honest I never have too much problems when it comes to Amazon but I do feel like sometimes I am very fortunate because there packaging isn't great

@@millerman9991 well I paid £40 for it so £30 ? Is that acceptable I haven't played the disc fully I literally took it out for 5-10 mins when I did a video for it back in the day.
