It’s range selector, this gearbox has 1-2, 3-4, 5-6, 7-9 and 8-10 in the different slots. When empty you can drive on HI all the time wich gives you 2-4-6-9-10
@@kullen7509 not sure about Erfs? I drove some early 90s ones that did require double clutching but it might just be that the syncromesh was worn. I'm not sure
Only have range in this truck and shift it with my thumb. In this video I use following gears: 3, shift to 5 range up to 6, range down shift to 7, shift to 8, range up to 10. In a comment below you see how the gears are arranged in the gearbox.
wonderful sound! Reminds me of the sound of the OM366LA Mercedes benz engine here in Brazil
Thanks Kullen. Nice post. Great video. Good driver, nice clean cab as well! 👍🇬🇧
Thank you very much! 👍

Hello
Did the 92 model already have a splitter ? It seems so, but I can't remember.

@@kullen7509 Thanks for your answer. I have to watch it again.
I noticed you pushed the clutch peddle down one time so this truck doesn’t require double clutching ?
No, all trucks from at least 80:s and newer have synchronized gearboxes.

@@robertbaxter4021 probably it had a non-syncronized 9 speed fuller box back then..
@@olegpedersen8111 it was a fuller box for sure.
@@kullen7509 not all. eg. iveco kept using 8 and 13 non synchro fullers up to early 90s.
Hello very nice video 😎

Great Video, you driving in socks
No, think I had some kinda shoes on! But a clean cab so could use socks if I want to! 👍😁
nice what gearbox is that the 10 speed,,, is it a 4 wheeler ,,, if so what power
Yes, 10 speed, Scania 4x2 with 250 6 cylinder, 9 liter and 250 horsepower. Totalweight about 19.000 kg in this clip.
@@kullen7509 I drove a 82m drawbar in the early nineties with the 10 speed ....lovely box with a drag.
i am srry i am not really know about truck...but why yur truck have so many gearshift?
It’s because you want to use max torque all the time when hauling heavy loads. If you have lighter load you can skip some gears.

shifted of
It's useless to show us gear shifting when you are hiding high / low range splint switch.
