Coolest little Printer - The EPSON Picture Mate Printer with Color Screen Demo

- After playing some more and basically wasting the remainder of my OEM ink cart, I managed to get all but two nozzles on the blue, cleared.
I inserted a new refurbished cart and shot this final demo.
This the model with the color screen which is very nice to work with compared to the text only older model.
But all is not peaches and cream. Right after the video shot, I did a nozzle check and the yellow channel have many nozzles not firing.
I suspect something more that a simple nozzle problem.
I will play with it some more but if it does not stay cleared in a consistent way, I will have to dispose of it. Luckily I only paid $10 for it used.

Hi do you have a ideas for manual cleaning of ink jets, head Etc i installed a new ink cartridge yesterday expecting to print photos.
I haven't used the picture mate for a while and even after 4 or 5 head cleaning runs i still aren't getting any nuzzle lines printing really.
I thought i would try to print whole photo maybe that would blow out jets but the printer just fails to execute printing procedure.
Are taking Picture Jet? Not much can be done.
can you demonstrate how to refill picturemate cartridge?
thanks for the quick response, how many cleans before the reservoir is full? already did it twice, maybe three. cheap cartridges on order
+Greg Butler I really have kept track but inside the cart there are 6 little plastic bags for the inks and one narrow long rectagular bag with absorbent material in it which acts as a waste ink bag. It actually is a fantastic system when you really thing about it. As it is entirely sell contined and not at all like conventional printer which will seace to work when they Waste Ink Counters and pads are declared full. To get them reset and the pads exchanges will cost more than the printer did. So just remember to take your time and keep track of the nozzle test prints and number them to see if you are haveing progress!
Hey Jose like you I bought a used one of these that hasn't been used for some time, I purchased an epson cartridge but no yellow or red are showing up on the nozel check :(

+Greg Butler 8t. It takes tons of patience and unfortunately several ink carts!
Do one cleaning cycle filled by a nozzle check. If still missing !Ines, rest it on whole day and repeat! After several clkeans the waste ink compartment inside the cart will fill and that will be the end of that cart! Buy a few generic Carts to do the head cleans instead of expensive ones.
