I just recently got sonic adventures 2, and had so many good memories come flooding back. Nostalgia is such a good thing, i remember LOVING this song when I was a kid.
SA2B was actually the very first video game I ever owned for my GameCube when I was 7, so yeah, SA2B is pretty much my favorite GC game EVER. I realize now that its not nearly as good as I might remember, but I still hold that SA2B was and still is one of the greatest sonic games ever. I hate when people bash this game, like Egoraptor on game grumps, even if he does have some good points, I still hate when people won't give SA2B a chance.
@Y2kDragon2 Well here are my 2 recommendations: - Find a download file and download it from there. - If you want this one in particular and want to change it to MP3, download Realplayer and install it. After, if you put your mouse over videos, a sign saying 'Download this Video' appears on top of the video. Click that and the video will start being downloaded. Also Realplayer comes with a free video converter, but as far as I'm aware you can only convert to MP3 and WMV files.
No matter if he's in the present or past Classic Sonic will always be "Rolling around at the speed of sound!" :) Classic Sonic will always be my favorite character, and if I get Sonic Generations 3DS for my B-day, on the 25th, you know who I'll play as.
Escape from the city was already my favorite Sonic Song and when I heard this for the first time when I played the game I was just blown away at how amazing it was :'3

Crush 40 in this song, sung majority of it. Anyway, I think Cash Cash did more of the Classic remixes like Speed Highway and Planet Wisp. I'm sure there's more. In the 3DS, I know he did Big Arms, but because I'm not familiar with the 3DS version, I don't know many.

This classic version is even better than the original. Simple because they hit the right mark of how a Classic Sonic music should be with this. Really, the original not come close to Classic Sonic version.

city escape = my fav level in SA2 escape from the city = song that i listen to while i play this stage over and over thus this remix = AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is what I think they did. I'm 98% sure that this remixed track uses the exact same vocals (Ted Poley's vocals) But for the 2nd verse where you can spot the difference, they manually auto-tuned it. So they literally took his original pitches and dragged them into the notes they wanted them to be in. Thus making it sound weird/un-natural, because they dragged his original vocals into a spot that it was never there before. I'm an audio engineer and this is my best theory. But not 100% sure.
Anyone else notice how the song shifted to the tune of Sonic 3's Endless Mine when they said "Future is lurking around every turn, trust your feelings gotta live and learn."?
My first game was Sonic Heroes (PS2) and... I'm fine with that. I enjoyed it. I look back at it and see all the bad points people say about it, but I don't care still.

Either that or some parts of the vocals have stayed the same, but changed parts of it excluding Verse 2... I can also see why people might think the vocals are the same as the original because this track and the original sync perfectly. This song was also sung in Sonic Boom 2011 which tells me that the vocals aren't reused.
Unfortunately, no. I used to but then I deleted them all except for this one... for no particular reason. Now I just make the videos I used to do and make some kind of remixes... which in themselves, aren't Sonic related. I might do one soon. Maybe.
