hey there! Definitely thought the DA40NG should have been on the list or at least mentioned. At 45% power it uses about 6.5-7 gallons of diesel an hour - meaning you could sustain 6+ hours of continuous flight on 38 gallons of useable fuel. Pretty remarkable engineering, maybe you guys will mention it next time!
You are correct that the Cirrus SR22 is not considered a particularly fuel-efficient aircraft, but it is still a popular and capable general aviation aircraft with many desirable features, including modern avionics, a comfortable cabin, and good performance characteristics. Considering those things and low operating costs make it a good contender for its segment and still worthy of this list.
@@AviationFederation yes but it's pretty disappointing for a video titled "top 5 most fuel efficient aircraft". For example I was hugely expecting the aircraft I'm training on : the tecnam P mentor as it only burns ~13liters of fuel/h. But then you talk about a Cirrus aircraft which burns 60 liters of fuel per hour ?? This is insane fuel burn this aircraft has nothing to do in this video. You should have better spoken about P mentor or DA 20 for example. These are low fuel burners.
It's not fuel efficient, by any means, but it does carry a ton of fuel, something like 80+ gallons - so it does have insane range for burning that much fuel. Video title not that great
