Not Ecclesiastes being turned on its head😂😂 "There is nothing new under the sun" ...Verse in TMS Translation "It's just the same pony in a new wig"😭😭😭😭
on the topic of deinfluencing, I think that the word itself is a victim of a bad game of internet telephone. It almost doesn't mean anything anymore. It's more like re-influencing. Instead of "buy this because it's cool", it's "more buy thins because it's not that". Still rooted in consumerism. I thing the only real deinfluencing is content that focuses on sustainability, recycling, crafting etc. things that can still be consumed, but are satisfying past the act of just buying it, and that can even build skills in the process. it is much less likely to have a shallow relationship with items that come from your own hands. this type of content is the only thing preventing me from completely giving up on social media. the sharing of skills and the results of someones work is one of the great benefits of the internet, and centralized social media just expedites the inspiration process imo.
I’m still on the dilemma but I wonder if apart of him refusing to pay for dates etc is due to insecurity in himself that she has a more “comfortable” life
I cant wait for the masses to adopt “quiet luxury” entirely so the rich people they so desperately are trying to imitate, run to start wearing flashy logos 😍😍 I love a cute logo moment 🎉 When will people learn that wealthy culture is carefully curated for wealthy people. The minute we start to imitate them they simply create a new culture…. that isn’t really a culture btw. It’s just the opposite of what us non ultra wealthy ppl are doing. The whole concept is silly.
TO THE SIS WITH THE DILEMMA: I had the EXACT same experience!! Like EXACTLY! What I can tell you is ASK GOD SIS! I had to end the relationship after almost 1 1/2 years. Not keeping his promises, constant arguments (for about 6 months), no effort, and our completely different way to approach things were too much for me to take. I’m Christian’s & he wasn’t which also just added to the headache lol After 1 1/2 year I decided to end things. Not only because it wasn’t easy (how Renee and Courtney stated: being in a relationship ist easy no matter what), but because I was basically dating potential and God was very, very, very clear. So all in all, I would suggest you to have a conversation with him, TAKE YOUR TIME, be understanding because of his circumstances, and if you still are in doubt - ask God, because God is not the author of confusion, but of peace. I wish you all the best sis ❤
I have a dilemma that I’m looking for advice on. I have always identified with Courtney, outspoken, educated, traveled, logical and advocating for the greater good of every man and woman. I was raised with a bread winner mom and nurturing father. He raised myself and younger brother very similarly without gender bias. Fast forward to Thursday, my brother and I got into a huge blowout regarding a woman’s value and as unfortunate as it is, he made points. There are things I cannot change when this is a male dominated world. However I feel like it has changed me as a person. I always thought highly of myself and now I see ass and titties when I look in the mirror. I don’t know how to navigate this new reality and I feel like I’m mourning a portion of myself who was a fighter. It’s almost like when you realize that there is only so much you can do about racism and although you go on with life, it feels just a little dimmer. It is affecting my relationship with all men and with the man that I love. I can’t help but feel a bit of disdain and disgust towards men now. My bff let it slip that when my bf (of 5 years) plans to propose when he returns in September and I have been elated, but now I almost feel like I’m succumbing to being bought and breeded like I am “supposed to be”. (it may be a temporary feeling) Idk how to move forward or see myself as the strong, intelligent woman I saw before
No one person can change a world. I may live far from where you live in Asia, in a corner of a world where some of communities follow matriarchy. Seen both sides of male and female dominated systems. The major difference is how majority of the gender take part in the economics of the society. We as girls, are somehow, by media or society, conditioned to think what men think of women matters. Even if that man has done nothing significant in his life, his words somehow is weighted by the reputation of his gender. I have felt immense anger once with these issues but now I only cater to facts and nothing less. If someone tells me women can do this that or not, I tell them to show proof that this cannot be done, until then shut up. I know I am working hard, and I can built a fortune with that hard work, and if it is a male dominated society, that won't be for long. Majority of next generation of men are going to be raised by mothers who know better, so men can go cry but they can't change biology 😂😂. Years ago, men would be like women can't code and be leaders, but look at the present....in few decades, women have changed how we lived for centuries. So next time, you feel dejected, just look into history, and know no matter how low anyone feels about women hood, we have always proved otherwise. Human kind will always advance, with technology advancement, gender parity will lower so it's only going uphill for us 😊
@@Jay_098 my bf was livid and heartbroken when I told him. He made a point to tell me that he does not see life that way and that he was the background character in my life lol. I am very lucky to have him and I had to ask him not to call my brother because that would’ve led to unnecessary tension. My brother has picked up a lot of misogynistic traits while in the marine corps. The only thing giving me hope with that is my mom said my dad was the same way until he left the marines. I’m just struggling to shake this sense of disregard for myself. Even as a plus size, black girl in America I have never struggled so hard with self love but I will keep working. Thank you for your advice and kind words!
@@urishay8633 “Even if that man has done nothing significant in his life, his opinion is weighted by his gender” that was the realization that made me feel like the person who I have curated myself to be was for nothing. I could do everything this life has to offer and the dumbest, most ignorant, sheltered man can be seen as more valuable and that was a hurt I didn’t know I could feel. Thank you for your kind words! I will keep working on building myself back up
Hi, if I already live in South Africa, do I need to sign up to the trip and pay the full price. I don't really need accommodation and would only like to join for the activities in my city (i.e. Cape Town). How do I go about this?
I think what she meant was that they aren't spending enough time together outside of the bedroom maybe? Because 4 months is a very short time to conclude that someone is a suitable life partner.
Only fans wasnt started as a sex worker platform. They just allowed it whereas other platforms didn’t. That’s when it became a sex worker thing. Only fans and patreon are literally the same thing.
When you look at other cultures like Native American culture and how they truly benefit the community and how people are the center of the community how each other in their families are the center of the community and everything else they have are just extra and they’re not really focusing on things and stuff and it’s upsetting that we think that things and stuff make our world go round and they really don’t like I’ve never felt compelled to constantly buy. Yes, I like to decorate my home but I like to decorate stuff that I am already in love with that I want to see in my home for a long period of time. I don’t think most people want to go shopping every single time something new pops up on the shelf And I think a lot of people do this overly compulsive shopping probably to make them or their own selves feel better and I hate that this materialism has been promoted in our society to make it seem like all we do is live for material items because what are these items besides more junk you know and we look at other cultures that don’t have a lot of junk but have just pure items like even back and cook pre-colonial days in America with a lot of the natural herbs and fibers and substances, and even during colonial days in the US, a lot of people handmade their things a lot of stuff was natural and natural remedies and natural herbs and spices and things like that so they didn’t have to worry about having 50 different facial washing creams and 50 different brands that have these all these chemicals in it that you really don’t have any knowledge about will because they’re telling you all this will do this to you. This will do that you this will heal you this and then later on we find out that this is harmful or this was a lie or it doesn’t really do anything for your face, it just makes you wonder like what are we honestly getting towards people should be looking for stuff that has longevity and sustainability in the long term not just things that will satisfy you for the moment, and there are a few people that like to decorate their house seasonally which is fine but that’s not the majority. I could care less about spring summer winter fall colors in my house. I really only celebrate holidays like Fourth of July and Christmas and Thanksgiving and that’s about it and most people will probably have the same idea and yes we will have birthday parties and celebrations we want to make it faster but what makes a party in a celebration festive isn’t the stuff it’s the people that you invite I mean sure the stuff add some atmosphere. Maybe it as a nice setting a different look but it really depends on the person because you could be in a room with white walls but if you have a great company with you, it’ll be just as fun and you thought that you were at a rave. But that’s why I think a lot of millennials are also exhausted and burned out from a lot of these jobs that are just working us like rats on a wheel and we’re just putting in so much time is so much effort for not that much pay and even if it does have pay, we don’t have time for other things that we want to invest in like our friends, our own mental health or families potentially, and that we just don’t have Any time or any care and that we just need to figure out how to restructure our society and that is like really sustainable for us. Is it really sustainable in the long run acting like people are factories in that we just need to be pumping out more and more and more only for it to end up in the waist bin anyway.
No, the era of influencer is mot over, body-care and skincare videos get more views than makeup after the pandemic
Huge agree!!! There is a move away from luxury items to a luxury lifestyle.

Just Another Way of Interpreting the Notion of "Money Screams, Wealth Whispers". At this Point, Everyone is a Material Girl.
