Please expose this fake Bruce Lee bullsh*terry by pressing “IFC Champion” Bernard “Beerdy” McCallister on what his sources are for his Bruce Lee nonsense.
I don’t know if you trying to say Bryce Lee wasn’t a real fighter, I trained from the Dan inosanto camp Of JKD! Will check out as I am an expert on Bruce Lee, in fact I’ve done 3 Bruce videos last of which I exposed his murder.
Beerdy reminds me of those dudes in high school who came up with all sorts of Bruce Lee stories, making him sound like a Dragon Ball Z character who trained for 16 hrs, did 2 finger handstand push ups and fought ninja's in Central Park.
Fact: Grandmaster Baxter never forgave Bruce for that one inch punch. He trained in escrima and nunchaku for 6 years before challenging Bruce a second time at Golden Harvest studios. This time it was caught on film and Bruce killed him. I know this is true because a headless martial arts expert with ripped abs and hypnotic nipples told me.
Thank you for doing this video, I'm glad someone with a considerable viewing audience is making clear that this Beerdy guy is spreading so much complete bullshit about Bruce Lee. I have wondered why someone would obviously knowingly disperse so much misinformation (to put it kindly) about anyone! It hadn't really occurred to me that his motivation could be financial! Disgusting! I don't really want to hate on or bash Shannon Lee/The Bruce Lee Estate too much, but, Jeezus, if they're offended by Quintin Tarantino misrepresenting Bruce Lee shouldn't they be offended by a complete bullshitter like "Beerdy", as well? I don't know how much it really matters, I mean, Bruce Lee's dead, we can't offend him personally, but didn't he talk about "honestly expressing yourself, not lying to oneself ..."? He seemed to greatly value the truth (ugly, upsetting, or not), you'd think people who admire him, are inspired by him, might value the truth, too!
Beerdy's channel is a treasure trove for Lee haters, adding undeserved credibility to their cause. It also feeds the fanboys fandom. One episode, he claims to know what Lee died of. I think it was overtraining. At least it wasn't too much sex, like some believe, lol. I believe it was something as simple as cortisone overuse, from the injections he got for his back injury. Back when they didn't know about all the nasty side effects like muscle wasting. Love your channel.
Jackie Chan said Bruce Lee was so fast and strong and exceedingly good. He was born with a talent. It passes me off when people put down Bruce Lee and say he was just an acted that trained in Wing Chun. Bruce Lee was taught. Wing Chun, He formed Jeet Kune DO, was trained in Taekwondo, Karate, Judo, street fighting, boxing, tai chi and Hapkido.

Another crazy thing is that Beerdy just now released another video when I just stumbled upon your channel! About how fast Bruce gained his physique in a short period of time! Haven't looked at it yet, tho

The second image can also be reverse image searched to find the full uncropped picture and it's obviously a different guy, not that it wasn't easy to tell already.
Already did 2 videos on his "stories." I just look at it like this- if I'm having trouble with a video, I just say,"well, let me go air out whatever Beerdy video my audience is watching"
I have a theory about Baxter. Beerdy is a huge Arnold fan, and Lou Ferrigno played the green "Hulk" in the 1977-1982 TV series, starring Bill Bixby as Dr. David Bruce Banner. Since Banner was officially death, a pattern in the show was he always used a fake surname, but it always began with B. He was David Brown, David Bremmer, David Belson, David Bellamy, etc.. In the episode "Child In Need", which was a story about a young boy who got abused by his violent and mentally ill father, Banner used the surname Baxter. Maybe Beerdy got the name from there :D.
@@chrisbach1533 Yes I love that show. I remember him using different names starting with a B throughout the series. Always made laugh that he uses David Brent in one episode 🤣🤣
@@MrDravenLee Thats cool 😀! Yeah this show is great like so many series from that time. Brent right 🤣, and in an other the name was Breck. But yeah, maybe Beerdy got the name Baxter from there. The two Hulkouts from Child In Need are here on YT.
8:45 I’m kinda surprised that guys will actually sit at home and say provocative stuff.. when they’re claiming to be a FIGHTING EXPERT because they chime in on an experts site. So people must think they know what they’re talking about in that case? But no, the thought of ACTUALLY COMING out to one of our gyms to spar or have a scrimmage? Of course not? Dry hand swimmers? Office only plumbers? Hands off carpenters? Lol
OMG I AM DYING LAFFING OVER HERE!! Alex you and Dre are killing me!! He said manimal!! There was a tv show in the 80's called Manimal!!🤣🤣...but you're right that's way too much Bull---- from Beerdy on Bruce Lee especially in that photo you can clearly see that's Dan Inosanto!! Bravo dude!!
So happy I found your show. You have a new fan man. I'm subscribing and going to go through your videos. As a martial artist since 1982 and 15 time UFC vet, pro boxer, kickboxer and JKD practitioner your perspective on Bruce Lee is identical to mine. I find myself feeling like I'm in a tug of war trying to defend Bruce against the guys that say he was just a movie star but at the same time needing to explain he was still just a man... With flaws. Which the nut huggers can't hear.
I was messaged by several people who directed me to this podcast in which you mentioned my second of three books on Bruce (UM). You commented that some of the statements I made didn't include a source. Feel free to contact me about any questions you have, and perhaps I can answer them. Enjoyed this podcast.
@@TheKungFuGenius That would be cool! Unlike this bullshitter "Beerdy", Tom Bleecker verifiably did know & train with Bruce Lee, hell, Bruce, Linda, Brandon, Dan Inosanto, etc., etc.,! He clearly knows more about Bruce than your average fanboy. What I found most questionable in his Bruce Lee bio was his claim that Bruce used anabolic steroids; in light of what we recently learned about Bruce using cocaine is it completely unbelievable that Bruce might've experimented with steroids? No, but when Tom presents as evidence the fact that the only footage we have of Bruce from Game Of Death features him in a (famous yellow with black stripes) jumpsuit, not shirtless, indicating that Bruce was ashamed of his thin, wasted away physique because he apparently was off the steroids at that time, to "prove" that Bruce used steroids to build his body, well, sorry, Mr. Bleecker, but any Bruce Lee fan has seen numerous photos of Bruce shirtless during the filming of Game Of Death looking every bit as buffed as Bruce did in Way of the Dragon. As much as Mr. Bleecker comes off as a good, honest, respectable, individual, part of me does have to wonder if his divorce from Linda might've, perhaps understandably, left him a little bitter.
@@BRUCEJJ66 Greetings and thanks for your input. Of all the information presented in "Unsettled Matters," the notion of Bruce using steroids has gotten more traction and commentary than any other subject. My mention of this wasn't in any way to discredit Bruce. The fact is, no one takes steroids and sits on their couch watching TV and grows muscles. Bruce Lee earned the incredible physique that he had. He worked out harder than any martial artist I've known. As an aside, which I pointed out in my book, in the late 1960s and early 1970s, anabolic steroids were being widely used successfully by thousands of amateur (Olympic) and professional athletes worldwide. Even dating back to the 1950s, steroids were used by the Soviet bloc athletes, which is why they continually dominated the Olympics. Second, not until long after Bruce's death did medical science begin to publish that there could be serious adverse effects experienced by users. Moreover, during the timeframe when Bruce was becoming popular throughout the martial arts community, a fair number of martial artists were using steroids (several in Bruce's circle), in addition to many in the Hollywood film and television industry. So here is a key question: it is well known that Bruce's use of supplements was extensive and often extreme. I, personally, knew of no one who was drinking blended concoctions of raw beef, desiccated liver power, raw eggs with egg shells, cod liver oil, and God only knows what else (he one day handed me a sample of one of these shakes, and one sip was enough for me). Add to that vitamins and protein supplements, and it's clear that Bruce was willing to try anything he felt was (1) safe and (2) would help him achieve his goals. So here's the question. His medical records and information from those who knew Bruce firsthand aside, imagine a person whose opinion and experience (lay and professional) Bruce trusted comes to him and says, "Bruce, if you really want to get the upper hand in making gains in your physique, you should try adding anabolic steroids to your regime. They're safe, have no bad side effects, are used by many of the top amateur and professional athletes (including bodybuilders), are not illegal, are easy to obtain, and have proven positive results by friends of ours." So why would Bruce say no to using steroids when he never said no to anything else that he felt was safe and that would help him achieve his goals? Since publishing UM in 1996, I haven't met anyone who has been able to answer that question. Lastly, another reason I mentioned this in my book was to give a reasonable alternative explanation as to why Bruce was having episodes of violence against people who were incapable of defending themselves against Bruce's superior skills. Director Lo Wei is the best example. Those who knew Bruce personally knew that he wasn't a bully. It just wasn't in his character. He was far too proud of his kung-fu to use it against an inferior opponent, let alone use it to threaten or instill fear in an 80-year-old overweight and out of shape individual. So clearly, something else was causing this, and I was convinced, as were others, that the problem was his use of steroids. I hope this helps shed some light on my mention of this in my book. By the way, two other issues that drew considerable reactions were (1) my comments about the cause of Bruce's death, and (2) his use of recreational drugs that were being supplied to him by Bob Baker. A couple of years ago, in the episode on the TV show "Autopsy" that focused on the cause of Bruce's death, renowned medical examiner Dr. Richard Hunter agreed with my assessment that Bruce died from kidney failure caused by his overuse of cortisone (a corticosteroid). I would point out that during the time that Bruce was overusing cortisone, none of the horror stories of its overuse were known to medical science. And second, as many know, the recent uncovering of the letters about Bruce's drug use has exposed Bob Baker as being Bruce's supplier, which is a fact that I made known 25 years ago, which no one believed. I'm pleased that the dialogue about Bruce and anabolic steroids has toned down considerably over the past couple of decades. It really isn't a big issue. As I said earlier, Bruce earned the Herculean physique that he had, every inch of it. Thanks again for your input.
First, of course it is Danny Inosanto. Secondly, I have like 10 photos from that exhibition which was most probably from Sept 1964 in Sun Sing Theatre in San Francisco. Finally someone mentioning this ridiculous fella. Thanks Alex.

You really can't make this stuff up! But sadly, a few years ago, I was talking with an older gentleman, who was in his 70's, who had bought into the lie that Bruce Lee died from overtraining: due to that older gentleman's age, I didn't want to argue with him; so I asked him where he got that information from; and of course, he referred me to that "Beerdy" channel.
@@TheKungFuGenius And even worse, he was a black belt in one of the Japanese Martial Arts; and due to that false information, and due to his age, he was big into warning young Martial Artists from overtraining, which would produce very bad students. So in our conversation together, he was trying to teach me not to overtrain; but due to my size, I am in great need of overtraining, if there is such a thing.
That's what I like about your channel. You're clearly a fan of Bruce Lee, but you'll critically & fairly scrutinise all the research, cutting out all the noise from the fanatics and haters. Bravo 👌
I think Beerdy is selling us short on the story of the photo. This was before digital so you didn't go around shooting everything and anything. So what was the deal here? Did some guy with a camera think "oh, Grandmaster Baxter is chatting with the trophy guy. That's a photo worth taking." and get lucky? Or did Grandmaster Baxter tell one of his students to grab his camera because he was going to go put the trophy guy in his place?
No, Beerdy isn't selling us short.......HE'S LYING TO US. The guy in the photo is Dan Inosanto during a demonstration. Unfortunately, many of the unknowledgeable, naive fans believe everything he says and question NOTHING. I'm SOOOOOO glad Kung Fu Genius did this video to expose this guy. He does a lot more harm than good by spreading this type of blatant lying an false information.
Thank you. I got introduced to his "I trained like Bruce Lee" video where he didnt even have any actual proof he did it and his statements about exercise is absolute horseshit. He said he did it not to brag but felt the need to said he was shredded and lots of energy (which is contradicting), I didnt finish the video because it contained so much bullshit.
About time someone call that guy out of his bluff. Same with bringing the Chael Sonnen ridiculous claim to know who Bruce was as a martial Artist /Fighter..
How about a video talking about Freddy’s Modern Kungfu, or Master Wong, or if Vick More actually blocked Bruce’s punch and did he hit Bruce and Bruce couldn’t block

When i first heard you say beerdy and the fact that you do wing chun, i honesty thought you meant the actor that was nicknamed Beardy(80s Kung Fu) 😅 Beardy the actor supposedly incorporated some wing chun into his movies because he heard that Bruce Lee did Wing Chun. "I trained 14 hours a day every day for a full 365 days...without having to take normal rest days or having to stop without over training injuries." FFS, with constitution like that, they should be writing superhero comics about this dude to document his path to Super-Super-duper-Hooper Saiyan Level 77. Hell, the physics in Star Wars is more believable than this. But, hey, nerds like me are quite used to suspending disbelief to enjoy a good story...but this guy? I don't see the story to justify the fiction, unless he's a deep-level humorist along the lines of Andy Kaufman or something. Thanks again, Sifu Richter! Sorry you felt compelled to break your usual impartiality online, but the reasons for doing so make a ton of sense. I was listening to this while exercising and had to put the weights down for safety I was laughing so much! Looking forward to your next episode as always!

Sifu Alex, this was a great episode and the must funniest episode. I knew beerdy had some crazy claims but the ones you mentioned were the most craziest. Thank you for posting and thank you for exposing beerdy. Keep up the good work, all the best to you buddy.
I am a fan of Bruce Lee. recently, Beerdy made video about Bruce Lee vs Mike Tyson and claimed that Bruce Lee would beat Mike Tyson. I commented on his vid, something like, come on man we all love Bruce Lee but lets be real here, he has no chance against Mike Tyson and he just blocked me from his channel haha, what a clown.
Since this video is about the subject: Usually i dont care so much about Beerdy, but i thought i have to send you this message since you are a Wing Chun Instructor. If you have time go over to his channel. He uploaded a video claiming some "Kung Fu Master wants revenge on Bruce Lee for beating up his teacher" and they fought. The Kung Fu Master is Wan Kam-leung, and Beerdy shows fotographs of him with Lee on the ETD set. We know they were only doing movie choreography, but Beerdy claims the foto's were taken from the fight. He even put the name "Wan Kam-leung" as graphic in the foto in his video. Sure, it is Sifu Wan, but making such a BS statement is simply too much. So maybe this is a story you want to mention in your next video about Beerdy (should you do one), only a suggestion of course :). And i think it wouldnt even be a bad idea if maybe someone could contact Sifu Wan and tell him about it. That's really too much imo. I dont think he would care, but since Beerdy mentioned him by name its really possible Sifu Wan could react to it. Here you go:th-cam.com/video/bz44xBOEt8k/w-d-xo.html
The Bruce Lee and Dan Inosanto image......you forgot to show the best part of the video. After he "one inch" punched the guy, it shows a second image, with the same guy, he just punched, sitting on the floor in the back, just watching Bruce. Like he's cool with what just happened. This guy is no joke when it comes to putting out bullshit. Six videos in one month.

@@TheKungFuGenius No joke, I did. But frankly, I didn't bother to finish watching each one of them haha Got back from hearing your podcast on my phone now, and yeah. My comments have been removed from Beerdy comment section so many times that I don't even bother anymore. I've read everything Bruce wrote and seen a lot of things about Bruce's life. Have been fascinated by Bruce for 26 years now. People many times think of him as a god or as a worthless fighter. The truth is somewhere in between. He was a great martial artist. That is for certain
It’s OK, communicating with Beerdy is like communicating with the Wizard of Oz, he’s not the guy you think he is… He’s just some punk behind a curtain hiding
At the 11ish minute mark you nailed in the head so hard. People never fall in the middle between two extreme opinions about Lee. Between being a superhuman and a fake fighter, the truth likely lies somewhere right down the middle.
Obviously the truth is in the middle... ...but where? At any rate he was better than his online critics say he was but not the demi-god his worshipful fans claim.
I visited Beerdy once. I was met with one of his channels disciples who defended an obvious error of facts which I brought to their attention. Bottom line Is that I knew this was a bullshit channel from the first video and never returned…

Already did 2 videos on his "stories." I just look at it like this- if I'm having trouble with a video, I just say,"well, let me go air out whatever Beerdy video my audience is watching"
Haha
Baxter 🤣🤣🤣 Every time I hear that, It cracks me up. I want to know where he pulled that name from 👍🙏🤣🤣
I have a theory about Baxter.
@@chrisbach1533 Child in need was a great episode too.
@@MrDravenLee Thats cool 😀! Yeah this show is great like so many series from that time. Brent right 🤣, and in an other the name was Breck. But yeah, maybe Beerdy got the name Baxter from there. The two Hulkouts from Child In Need are here on YT.

Would you be open to being interviewed on the podcast?
@@TomBleecker so it was not coke overdose - no doctor even suspected ?

You really can't make this stuff up! But sadly, a few years ago, I was talking with an older gentleman, who was in his 70's, who had bought into the lie that Bruce Lee died from overtraining: due to that older gentleman's age, I didn't want to argue with him; so I asked him where he got that information from; and of course, he referred me to that "Beerdy" channel.
I completely understand your frustration
@@TheKungFuGenius And even worse, he was a black belt in one of the Japanese Martial Arts; and due to that false information, and due to his age, he was big into warning young Martial Artists from overtraining, which would produce very bad students. So in our conversation together, he was trying to teach me not to overtrain; but due to my size, I am in great need of overtraining, if there is such a thing.
That's what I like about your channel. You're clearly a fan of Bruce Lee, but you'll critically & fairly scrutinise all the research, cutting out all the noise from the fanatics and haters. Bravo 👌

I think Beerdy wrote The Birth of the Dragon movie.
Too many facts for it to be Beerdy
I think Beerdy is selling us short on the story of the photo. This was before digital so you didn't go around shooting everything and anything. So what was the deal here? Did some guy with a camera think "oh, Grandmaster Baxter is chatting with the trophy guy. That's a photo worth taking." and get lucky? Or did Grandmaster Baxter tell one of his students to grab his camera because he was going to go put the trophy guy in his place?
Nothing makes sense
No, Beerdy isn't selling us short.......HE'S LYING TO US. The guy in the photo is Dan Inosanto during a demonstration. Unfortunately, many of the unknowledgeable, naive fans believe everything he says and question NOTHING.
I'm SOOOOOO glad Kung Fu Genius did this video to expose this guy. He does a lot more harm than good by spreading this type of blatant lying an false information.

Finally, someone had to say it Beerdy has been putting out a lot of disinformation about Bruce and he's very misleading with his commentary.

I am a fan of Bruce Lee. recently, Beerdy made video about Bruce Lee vs Mike Tyson and claimed that Bruce Lee would beat Mike Tyson.
I commented on his vid, something like, come on man we all love Bruce Lee but lets be real here, he has no chance against Mike Tyson
and he just blocked me from his channel haha, what a clown.
Yup, that’s him.
Somebody recently asked him to make a video about lee and francis ngannou. Beerdy said that lee is too fast and would beat ngannou on points
You where right
Thank you!
Is it a pathological liar channel?
Seems so
Since this video is about the subject: Usually i dont care so much about Beerdy, but i thought i have to send you this message since you are a Wing Chun Instructor.

My comments have been removed from Beerdy comment section so many times that I don't even bother anymore. I've read everything Bruce wrote and seen a lot of things about Bruce's life. At the 11ish minute mark you nailed in the head so hard. People never fall in the middle between two extreme opinions about Lee. Between being a superhuman and a fake fighter, the truth likely lies somewhere right down the middle.
