@@Erlow i think so too. both these places are supposed to be underneath two other underground layers of the map. methinks thats the deepest the map goes, so they have to place these places in other more shallow spots
@@Erlow Actually, I believe it's slightly repositioned to better align with the exiting cave in the northwest where you come from when you do the water filling sequence at the end of the quest. since that cave is surface level it would let the map better follow the player smoothly without needing a load to quietly correct the map position

I had thought they did this for the multi-layered map, to make it so they didn't have to create all those layers in one spot. But now we've got the Fortress of Meropide and its hundreds of layers, so that theory is a bust!
Leaks said that the Fortress of Meropide is connected to the Opera Epiclese via an underground tunnel so that staircase is most likely that tunnel used to transport convicted criminals to the fortress.
I managed to sit in the Chief justice's chair, just after I did the quest. I wanted to pretend I'm the Archon, but I didn't even got an Achievement for it, maybe because I was not supposed to reach that. Also after the Paimon glitch I found the 2nd harbor and almost got stuck, but then realized that characters can climb quite high if I don't spam jump.
Indeed they can. Traveler-san has to normal climb a lot, haha. Makes me miss Xiao and his virtually infinite climb stamina, thanks to being able to recover stamina via his skill.
There's a big ladder 🪜 that leads down below the water 💧 in the main sewer part of the under street level city, of Fontaine, by the way.. It looks like the water can be drained an theres more stuff below the water level will get explore latter on in fontaine city. Or, under it anyway. I wonder if it connects to the ship 🚢 makeshift city that nueva runs, to the southeast of Fontaine city? Forget name of it off hand. Hope that helps
That's fair, though I'd wager it makes a lot more sense than what it actually turned out to be... Fortress of Meropide is clear on the other side of Fontaine, yet this supposedly leads to it?
Fun fact: the willow tree is meant to be floating in the air, the environment it’s in will be more watery (if that’s the right way to say it) and the trees leaves will be blue instead of yellow. Dunno if any of that means anything. Oh and the harbor and everything else including the shrouded tower are all coming in 4.2

As a traveler from the future of 4.1, (4.1 Archon Quest Spoilers) 2:18 The hidden staircase and the platform will open up to be the entrance to the Fortress of Meropide which is a much less interesting explanation that the idea of it leading to the room with the core of the Oratrice
I’ve only managed to make it up to Furina’s seat with venti, kazuha, and zhongli, Neuvillette’s seat is behind the curtains after the quest is over. Is there anyway to clip back behind it? :(

I was just exploring some old domains in Mond, and once I was in Falcon’s domain I noticed you could explore almost all the structures there, unfortunately I am not as skilled so I couldn’t venture too far away, but it looks like the domain itself was supposed to be huge as hell, even with some glowing rooms around, and unfinished rooms.. (Its the domain that teaches players about early elemental reactions, i was able to explore a bit with Scara and Zhongli)
Do you mean Eagle's Gate? If so, I did cover that in an older video. Same with a few other domains that had similar designs. They're still among the largest domains in the game. In one of them I managed to glide in one direction for literal minutes and STILL found walkable terrain to land on.

I actually discovered that tree yesterday, though it didn’t load in for me, just the low res texture. Have you been inside of the tower? It has an interesting large chamber inside it with lots of mechanisms… I’ve also found some underwater caves in lakes.

It's honestly kinda baffling, given how far away the Fortress is. I would guess that means the Fortress of Meropide is much larger than what we're able to explore.
I went exploring out of bounds. That tree area is great fun since you can swim in the air of the disjointed water texture. There's also another area out of bounds you can dive, looking forward to another underwater cave. And I noticed the mountain textures between Fontaine and Mondstadt/Liyue divide those waters with Sumeru waters. I wonder if that will make it into the Chenyu Vale update.
Great video! I do believe there's another instance of the map lying to you. When I was trying to get to back Ann's house to take screenshots I went to the location I marked on the map and all that got me was a screen full of yellow and then void. I actually had to glide more to the right under where the mountains appeared on the map to reach it! Once I landed my location changed. It's a minor one but I don't think "Nice to Meet You" is the only map lie, just the biggest one.
2:06 There's a few high up locations around the map that aren't situated in their actual location on the map, so if you fall straight down you can actually see your position move on the map. I think it might actually be a lot more common than we realize
I don't know how I feel about Moosashi clearly showing us he figured out how to disable the butt blur at 7:49, but deciding not to say anything about it. If it was to be classy, why even show it? I'm confused.

5:15 I did that to pull for Neuvillette, it worked well since I got him early! Venti is actually all you need I found out. Thought I'd need something more complex, but if you can get yourself to stand on the oratrice (the hardest part) you can just use Venti to get up. Wanderer should also work and using other character combinations is much easier

Moosashi, you can also get on Furinas chair. And no; you only need Geo traveller. Scale the walls of the upstairs to get to furina, then you walk the outskirts of the ceiling to get to Neuvi

That was connected to the Ancient Colors quest chain. You can return there using Canotila (she's underground) near the statue of the seven (it's a book icon).
Strawhat's pretty much explained it. It's part of a quest, not sure which exactly; I did showcase the area a bit in my first Fontaine video, which is also where I pulled that clip. Haven't yet found my way there normally, as I've still a lot of World Quests to do.
It is not yet released. However, you're able to see it from an east/southeast house in the Magic Research Institute area, one very close to the Paimon Barrier.
