Back in the day, when Myst was released and just steamrolled the adventure game genre to the ground by making a game with actual logic puzzles and not just a series of random bullshit the dev smoked up one night, it became the cool thing to dump on it for "ruining the genre".

I feel like, for me at least, what ruins nightcore is if you know what the original song sounds like since I've noticed I can tolerate nightcore songs that I haven't heard what the original is.
