Malleus is the crown prince, the heir to the entire Valley of Thorns, arguably the second highest position only under his grandmother, and one of the top five magicians in Twisted Wonderland. *He is someone of incredibly high status and importance.* While Yuu is a magic-less commoner not even from this world. There would be an absolute uproar, perhaps a borderline rebellion if the incredibly powerful King of Thorns selected an ordinary magicless human as his Consort. Yes, Yuu is incredibly precious to Malleus, one of a very select few, and that’s not something to overlook. I admit I low key ship it, but even a platonic relationship is already tragic enough considering he’ll have to watch his human friend age and die so quickly while he’ll remain unchanged, I can’t even imagine the heartbreak if they became a couple. Even if he does develop romantic feelings, I don’t think he’ll either be allowed or allow himself to ever confess it. He may not even figure it out until Yuu’s gone.

From how he kept yelling "You humans _________!!!" all the time, I was worried that something might have traumatized Sebek that had to do with any humans hurting him in some way. Thankfully it doesn't seem to be the case, but if any negative biases about humans that his mom's side of the family or anyone else he encountered in his hometown had anything to do with it, then it would explain things a bit more. He probably also identifies himself more as a fairy. It's sad, but hopefully he'll learn eventually that such an attitude is what often causes division and hurt, even for himself as a hybrid of some kind. On a lighter note, though, it's sweet how he has so much love and pride for his mother! And how he has fond memories of his childhood with his siblings and grandfather. It's also kind of funny how he's so determine to have an accquired taste for straight out black coffee 🤭 I don't like black coffee either, so I get how he feels about it. But he talks about it as if it's something he must beat! Sebek wants to feel more like a grown up, but he seems to have no idea that it's not childlike at all to add milk and to even sweeten it. Okay so i read few comments that i think got the wrong idea of Sebek and his dislike for his father, so i'm gonna share few things. I personally think that Sebek's disliking of his father comes from the fact that humans (especially magicless ones) are seen as weak in the eyes of faes (at least this is what i understood from the story of his mother and father marriage), so Sebek is probably having hard time to except the fact he is half human which he projects on his father.Since the most powerful figures he looks up to are both faes ( his mom and Malleus) he might refuse to see him self as only half fae, because in his head humans are weak and useless, which he doesn't want to be.Maybe that's why he's so obsessed with training and gaining knowledge and being praised by his master, he does that so he could proof himself that he isn't a weak human. Tbh reminds me of a story about another character who was also half human from a game i know(he also really looks like Sebek too haha). Anyway my point is that Sebek is probably going through some identity crisis in his head(which is not surprising cuz he's a teenager), i'm sure after he mature enough he'll be better (or maybe Malleus will have a serious talk with him about it, who knows).

Well, there have been others that are named magicless. That is why they explicitly make it a point to say who has magic and who doesn't. For example, Ace's bday has Ace saying that his dad isn't a magician like him and his brother And you know, considering there was on canon stated to be a Human-Fae war, and that Fae live longer than Humans, there is probably a lot of leftover old thinking. (Imagine if you had like an argument and for one party, it was like a year ago and got over it but the other party was like "no? it was just last week?") Kids absorb a lotta that, all people do, no one is immune. The fact that Sebek may have absorbed some of what his environment told him doesn't surprise me. Also he literally just turned 17. I'm gonna bet good money he will be turning that thought around once Malleus overblots. He has, as a half-fae, a lot of time to unlearn. He's a decent kid anyways. He gets protective over MC during his Ceremonial Robe story. So he has potential. Also, there's stuff to consider with Sebek being you know, 17 and trying to look like a Strong Independent Man who Does Not Need His Dad cooing over him at every opportunity. Which he then turns into "but that's just because he's human" and not the also cringe reason of "I want to be part of the Grown Up table". So he says something absolutely scathing because it makes him sound more "mature". Which is funny considering he looks up so much to Lilia, and we gauge Lilia's maturity because of how Lilia is willing to forgive humans for all their faults and follies. And we know Lilia actually lived through that war so he would have more reason to be embittered.
Sebek is honestly the only twst character I dont like the most. Step aside his decent side as a student, his undying admiration for Malleus is more of an obsession. He literally represents those toxic Malleus stans who thinks he is perfect and has no flaws.

I wonder if his family ever mocks him and his siblings for being half human. As a mixed person myself, I can see why Sebek is angry at his father (though they act exactly the same haha) and maybe blames him. I read some of the comments and didn’t even consider the life span thing. That being said, Sebek is a huge dorky simp and I hope he could get over his racist POV.

Well, there have been others that are named magicless. That is why they explicitly make it a point to say who has magic and who doesn't. For example, Ace's bday has Ace saying that his dad isn't a magician like him and his brother
And you know, considering there was on canon stated to be a Human-Fae war, and that Fae live longer than Humans, there is probably a lot of leftover old thinking. (Imagine if you had like an argument and for one party, it was like a year ago and got over it but the other party was like "no? it was just last week?")
Kids absorb a lotta that, all people do, no one is immune. The fact that Sebek may have absorbed some of what his environment told him doesn't surprise me. Also he literally just turned 17. I'm gonna bet good money he will be turning that thought around once Malleus overblots. He has, as a half-fae, a lot of time to unlearn. He's a decent kid anyways. He gets protective over MC during his Ceremonial Robe story. So he has potential.
Also, there's stuff to consider with Sebek being you know, 17 and trying to look like a Strong Independent Man who Does Not Need His Dad cooing over him at every opportunity. Which he then turns into "but that's just because he's human" and not the also cringe reason of "I want to be part of the Grown Up table". So he says something absolutely scathing because it makes him sound more "mature".
Which is funny considering he looks up so much to Lilia, and we gauge Lilia's maturity because of how Lilia is willing to forgive humans for all their faults and follies. And we know Lilia actually lived through that war so he would have more reason to be embittered.
Sebek is honestly the only twst character I dont like the most.
Step aside his decent side as a student, his undying admiration for Malleus is more of an obsession. He literally represents those toxic Malleus stans who thinks he is perfect and has no flaws.
