Hi,A suggestion for your bow fishing arrow...i would file or grind of the rough top part used for giving you grip pulling it out of fish, other wise it will wreck the slide rail on your bow....
You're right it is eating away at the rail but not as bad as I thought It would when I first seen them bolts. Thats why I won't shoot them out of that Ballista Bat. Probably should file them down, I've just been lazy.
@@TheWaterSwatters you are right to not use them on your bat. Yep it is the same little Brahma of a crossbow. I won't let no one else even touch mine. lol, learned the hard way. Now i lend no one nought..Good hunting bruv.
Yep bruv look after it . i do not let anyone touch mine stuff after a bad experience letting an x friend use a laptop and spilt liquid on it and destroyed it. I purchased from "wish shopping platform". a mini cross bow about a year ago. Chinese built but wow what another mad machine. it is a recurve called Mini Lie Sun . It is stainless steel body with spring steel limbs. It came out of the box powerful , accurate and quality build. I put the steel cables on a different way to the instructions after firing a score of practice bolts through it and saw the potential for a small game tool that fitted into my pocket that is how small it is.I purchased the model with forward facing limbs like a crabs pincers are, after filing the trigger catch to make it a little heavier pull than an hair trigger as the way i re cabled it made it a 45lb pull which made the trigger hard to pull. Wow i was blown away at the accuracy and power of this little crossbow. I also purchased another make mini because it had a red dot pointer on board after searching for days for a sight that would fit my bow but could not find one anywhere on the net.It fitted perfect, i found a company that sold 3" two flighted plastic bolts, so i bought an 100 in case they stopped selling them which has happened i cannot find the company now, so that was a good move. after sighting it in i can get an inchish grouping continuously and after firing it at 60 ft away from a joint of pork and getting a depth of 2" into the flesh i decided to go hunting for small game to test it out real time. i am a pot poacher because it is illegal to hunt here with bows. But hey oh Acts/Statutes are fraud so f em. Of i went to see what was about in the area. I have actually killed a Munjack Deer with a spot on heart shot, the quarry only ran 300yds before dropping and dying. I cannot believe now what a cracking little crossbow this is. I paid £39 pounds for it and have noticed they are now £60 .00 to buy and still worth that price all day long. I would not part with mine for any money. There is a video review of the same model but with the usual back facing limbs.I will send the link in a few minutes so you can check it out if you would like to see the this model in action. Anyway i like your channel and the content. take care to you and yours. Happy Hunting you guys in the USA do not know how lucky you are to be able to go off hunting..👍
That looks like a lot of fun And I’m gonna have to catch a couple gu to make some gar balls and give them a try I caught one the other day and I turned it loose
Love this video. The sides of those gar are so thick, I half wonder if you didn't hit more of them than you think, but just not square enough that they bounced off. Hope you plan on a clean and cooking video of those gar balls. Gar are protected here in Ohio so we don't have any here.
Will the Ballista Bat shoot those slingshot stainless steel fishing bolts you use with the hellhawk crossbow? I was wondering cause you cant find crossbow fishing arrows at ballista or william tell website or ebay or amazon. If the stainless steel slingshot fishing arrows work i would just use those. Appreciate any help. Thanks brother.
It will shoot them but they will dig into the bows rail. The back is rough and acts like sand paper I wouldn't do it. Be cheaper to buy ya a little 80lb bow and use it to fish with. They work very well with the little metal darts and when it messes up the rail it's all good!
@@TheWaterSwatters Yeah I saw those knurled ends. I thought if I grind those down and make them smooth it might not scratch the arrow groove as bad. Thanks for letting me know they fly out of the ballista bat though.
@@jamesgaszak3685 you'll have to let me know if ya figure that out. I was gonna try it but if you grind off the rough edge it makes the arrow sit funky because the back is smaller diameter than the front. I also thought about a little electrical tape but haven't tried it. Anyway if ya figure it out I'd sure be interested those little metal darts are cheap. Ya loose a $10 bill every time ya shoot a rock with a billista fishing arrow.
@@TheWaterSwatters I think duck tape will cause drag on the metal arrow. I'm thinking instead of tape, wrap fishing line in the two back grooves where the knurling is. Just wrap it so it sticks out past the knurling. Fishing line shouldn't scratch the rail, it's water proof, and it's cheap.
Those small crossbow are just amazing, for the price I don't know anything that comes close, I wish we had bigger models, I'd gladly see a low priced competitor for the bat crossbow, I think it's fair to expect a 160 lb. crossbow double it's size for double the price ? I'd happily pay that.
