Nambour, Queensland - 4K Ambient Walk

  • This 4K walking tour in Nambour was shot on a fairly hot weekend morning.
Nambour is north of Brisbane and I once described it as a bit like Ipswich, but worse. It's a reasonable sized small city and has some interesting history. I didn't mind this 4K walking tour but I won't be in a hurry to get back to Nambour.
But at least I get to share a place not many 4K walking tours would venture towards.

Nice to see the cane train track still exists on Howard St! Still remember the days of the cane train rattling through as the Mill was starting to fire up for the cane crushing season around June. i lived in an old house atop of Webster Road in 1990 (now torn down & townhouses today) and I'd stick my my head out of my bedroom window and there'd be this sweet smell of burning sugarcane right through he town every year! Not to mention the Sugar Festival (that still happen??). Also the old Lind Lane Theatre at the back of Woolies (now Nambour Plaza, before they extended out)- I was part of the amateur theatre group in my high school days before it was torn down. Good memories!

Nambour is my hometown, and currently live in Melbourne. I haven't been back home since Christmas 2019, and sitting here in my 6th lockdown, this has absolutely made my day (and given me a bit of a cathartic cry!). Never thought I'd miss seeing this little town, but I'd really give anything to get back home. Thanks for making this video!

Hi, thank YOU for watching. I really appreciate you taking the time to write such a great comment about hoe watching made you feel. I hope you do get back home at some stage. Things are pretty tough for people in Melbourne and I'm glad my walk around some of Nambour made your day!

Wonderful! Tbh I've never understood why so many dislike Nambour. I mean, it's not the prettiest town but I've lived here my whole life and never had a problem. And if you drive around the local countryside there are some very nice areas and farmland.

Believe me, I know exactly what you mean Alicia. After all, if you didn't like the place you would've left long ago. It might not be everyone's cup of tea but each to their own. Nowhere is perfect. Thank you for watching. I will happily come back for another walk too.

Your effort to ease the mental pressure in lockdown is amazing. Keep on developing virtual walking for us. This is life saving. If possible please walk to Port Douglas and Cairns again. Try Moosman Gorge as well. Appreciate your effort.

Thank you for your amazing words. It means a lot and I appreciate you taking the time to pass that on to me. I hope to get back up to the Cairns region again as there were many areas I wanted to walk but did not have the time.

Mooloolaba is definitely on the list. I was passing by Noosa for a walk a while ago but it was so busy there was nowhere to park. It is a definite future walk though

Unique Christmas Tree! Nice town, no high buildings. I have found a very strange thing. On many of your videos my comments and likes have been disappeared. I always watch your videos from start to end on computer while not logged in. After watching I make comments and liked on my phone and watch videos more then 3 minutes. TH-cam behavior is very strange because I watched fully, commented and liked all your Australian videos and Gibraltar.

Hi Richi, I believe your comments are always visible to me, and I look to always reply. I know you mentioned previously you had watched them all. Some times it's hard to know what's going on with comments.
