Okay. I am 75 years old. Heard noise at 3am this morning. Saturday... no maintenance on call. Found YOU! And lo and behold, the nosie stopped following your instructions and although I lost some frozen items, I FIXED IT MYSELF!!!!! You are such a good person to share this. I WILL have a Happy Mother's Day tomorrow as the ribs are defrosted (lol). Many blessings to you and your family.

I was seriously looking at budgeting for a new refrigerator when I started hearing this same sound a few days ago. Instead, I asked my new friend, TH-cam, and found this vid.
    THANK YOU Amopro! 🌞👍🏼

My freezer started making this exact noise tonight, 4 1/2 years after your original video. Started looking for solutions and saw your thumbnail and it looked familiar ... we have the same fridge!
This was a perfect video, exactly what I needed. You mentioned overloading the freezer and blocking the vents at the bottom. That was EXACTLY what I was doing, I never even noticed them.
    THANK YOU!

Just got a message from the gf saying she had to unplug the freezer, it was making this sound. I'm at work but searched TH-cam and found this video. From what i know of this freezer, it is definitely an ice issue. I'll check it out tomorrow and report back. Thank you for this video, regardless if it's my issue or not!!! This truly is why the internet is wonderful, people helping people. Thank you!

I ran into this problem recently by accident. I couldn't figure out why the refrigerator (so I thought) was HOLLERING!!! I had a flat container sitting on top of the ice maker (it eventually fell into the ice maker) and ice was falling behind the ice maker and was over crowded. I happened to look in the freezer and notice the container had disappeared. Once I pulled out the ice maker, I saw that it had been overflowing and tons of ice was in the back. As soon as I cleared this I gained peace and quiet. This video confirmed my findings :-D Next time I clean out the freezer, I will follow what you've prescrided in the video. GREAT TIP!!! Thank you!!!

Can’t thank you enough. I did it myself. Blow dryer was perfect. And of course this all has to be done quickly, so food doesn’t defrost. I place the food in a more organized way. And it’s not hitting that back freezer wall. I subscribed to your channel.

This freaked me TFO when you turned off the dishwasher and the remaining noise sounded *exactly* like my refrigerator. Not similar. Exact. Also, sure enough, I stuffed my freezer full like almost exactly 24 hours prior to the noise starting. The whole vent wall is iced up. I had the back of this thing open and couldn't locate the noise.

This literally worked! OMG!! Thank you so much! I just got my fridge and once I started looking at the ice maker, it seems like the tube that the water flows down to go into the ice maker, there’s a gap in between the tube and the ice maker so the water is dripping between, causing it to miss the ice maker and it freezes on the whole back side of my fridge, including the vent. I’m going to have someone come fix it! Thank you again!

With short hair I have no hair dryer. I do have a hot comb and used that, running it near the grill in the freezer to melt the ice caked there. For good measure, I left the door open and 'fridge unplugged for a half hour. It worked!
So I guess any safety portable heat source will do.
Thanks for the video. I too, thought I would have to replace the fridge.
