Finding time is not always easy... and this is the first time I've been out sourcing in a week and a half... I had to take what I could get. #ebay #ebayseller #ebayreseller
Hi Ian, I just wanted to take a moment to express how much my husband, George, and I truly enjoy your videos. We've been watching for the past few years, we've learned so much from you, and thanks to that, I’m now a part-time toy reseller while also being a busy mum to two little ones. If possible, would you consider giving my husband, George, a birthday or appreciation shout-out? He’s the one who encouraged me to take the leap and start my own business, and I couldn’t have done it without his unwavering support. He’s incredible-essentially my unpaid assistant, helping with everything from cleaning and testing to sourcing toys. I’m so grateful that he found your channel! Thank you so much, Rachael
Hiya Rachael, this comment made my day!! Its great to hear that you took the step to start the business and that its going well!!! Sounds like George is fully in your corner and I bet he secretly loves going round the shops scouting out the toys (and of course seeing you succeed!) Happy birthday George, check out the end of my next video ;). p.s. thanks for the donation, I'll get my boys something fun with it!!
@@MasterofPieces we've just watched the video his face was an absolute picture!! 🤣🤣 Thank you for the shout out it's made his day. I'm off to list some more toys now! Rachael & George
Ian mate it was such a pleasure bargain hunting with you mate and thanks for the awesome purchase of the transformers comics and my version should be uploaded soon 👍
love watching your videos, great knowledge on the toys etc, look forward to them and especially when your with Connor, not the usual amount of banter between you this time though and like it best when you do a challenge against each other
kept it a bit more low key this time round... Con wanted to save his pickups for his own video. we tried to get round a couple more than usual so was a bit rushed too
Ahhhhh I had that exact keyboard when I was a kid!! I also wrote the notes on the keys, and I remember playing the 'drums' on that pads (Which were also so satisfying to press for some reason). Great memories, great video! Lovely hit of nostalgia.
Patience is so key in reselling. When i first started you feel as tho you just have to buy anything even when its has a poor margin . But then you end up with a load of bad buys. When ive watched Chady Pete in the past he’ll only pick up things that’s really worth it , he’s one of the best on leaving things that’s not worth his time . Great vid guys love seeing the Welsh Wonders out on the hunt 😊👏🏻
its taken me a good 4 years to realise this!! As a part timer with only 1 chance to source a week, I was picking up everything. Now I focus on self through rate... even if its a £5 profit item, if it sells tomorrow i'm picking it up!! i pick up less but my store is a managable size and it all fits in my garage
Hey Ian, it's been a while since I've watched your videos(went through a rough patch in my life, things are looking up for me though). Cool looking comic books, great video as always
It seems almost impossible to find any vhs horror movies anywhere at all nowadays. I once found 2 copies of The Keep and The Monster Squad vhs 80s films all on different stalls at a car boot, the same day! That was 10 years ago. Anyway many thanks for your brilliant videos!
yeah we don't meet up as much as we could but both do it part time so has to fit in around other commitments. Ha yeah it pretty much takes up my free time in the week
Anthing --I don't usually sell, I always pre-box.. the weighs in the listing so I know what to charge for shipping... I have lots of neighbors that save smaller boxes for me... in California it's sort of a status symbol to actually recycle things, boxes bubble wrap packing is actually fairly easy -- most people get regular shipments from buying online...Laxvespa--LosAngeles
It's been a struggle with sales this month, I'm hoping that February into March kicks things back into gear. I'm brimming with stock at the moment but the sales are slow after the new year. Another reality of reselling 👌
The charity shops in wales seem to usually have good stuff! We might have to come over and have a look at some point. I picked up a megazord recently in our last charity shop video but it was modern so not much profit in it. Love your videos:)
depends where you go tbh... theres plenty here that are no good. let me know when you come over, be good to meet up!! I'm going to take some time to learn power rangers megazords
I'm finding sales in January not too bad atm... certainly not as good as before Christmas but not too bad. Jus picked up what I could today and sometimes that all you can do
I picked up a disney mug that I'd bought on vinted this morning. They passed me a bag...yes it had been sent in a bag 😮wrapped in a bit of kitchen paper...incredibly it arrived all in 1 piece, no chips, nothing
Action Force is hot stuff. I've started my part-time reseller journey with my childhood Action Force toys. I've made £3k in two months selling it and it flies out
Are those Transformers comics the ones that Conor found a while back? I still have mind from when I was a kid, I loved them. Also, Spiderman/Zoids comics.
Re think re use re sell ❤ enjoy watching your channel we buy and sell similar things…I started 6 weeks ago and raised £2k from charity shop bric a brac.
Sales have been awful these past two weeks. Did you manage to get anywhere with a refund on the console? Vinted is such a pain with problems with items. I’ve been checking back to see if you had posted a new video. I enjoy watching your content
my sales have been OK for the time of year tbh. Yep full refund on the console so moneywise I should do about the same selling spares/repairs... but its a shame that something fully working now isnt. Ha turn on notifications and you'll see when the videos drop
I think the problem with Vinted delivery, is people for some reason dont think they can use boxes and many sellers are younger who probably have never sent anything through the post before.
I'm not sure about that David... the younger generation have been brought up with online shopping/amazon. Id have thought its pretty common practise to see stuff packed in boxes!?
I had 2 returns in 1 week this week 😮, both were out of my control, 1 was damaged in postage which cost me 90 quid to return and another was a new in box item that didn't work when he opened it, both were extremely well wrapped in bubble wrap so especially one must have been dropped from a great height, I'd love someone to do an undercover investigation into our postal services and how they treat people's postage, I have the glove puppet version of that lion jelly cat
@MasterofPieces exactly. I've ran out of dvd player sized boxes and I've sold a few this week so I just used cardboard I had and made a box. I knew doing that one lesson in year 9 all them years ago would come in handy 😎🤣
@@MasterofPieces quite new to the channel but love the uploads. been a reseller myself for past 10 years alongside working a fulltime job. can be a pain in the arse coming home to packaging 10 plus orders and listing so i feel your pain🤣
Ive stopped me mate after a big refund i had to pay back. Left with a house full of it now. Im dying having to do it all again. Shamone btw, its me if you remember. Lol
The last £5k challenge where I find a load of vintage Power Rangers is here th-cam.com/video/mFA13QAd4Uk/w-d-xo.htmlsi=RfxtZs-9SfTembx9

You have to be all in. That goes for any business.
I think there's room for a successful reselling business to sit in the background of a full time job
Ahhhhh I had that exact keyboard when I was a kid!! I also wrote the notes on the keys, and I remember playing the 'drums' on that pads (Which were also so satisfying to press for some reason). Great memories, great video! Lovely hit of nostalgia.
Ha strange how a keyboard can bring that nostalgia
Brilliant day of thrifting finds! 🎉
thansk Simon... was hoping to find something more interesting but it is what it is

always good to reuse/recycle when you can. I also use recycled materials. you just build it up over time. Hi Los Angeles :)

after the highs of the christmas run up, the slump in sales in the new year brings it back down to earth. Will cover that in the next vid

Tough time in January mate, good to see you being open and honest 👌 those transformers comics look great 😍 I remember having one

That Ovnis T-shirt looks amazing 😮
i cant believe the guy was looking over it for about 5 minutes and decided not to buy it... it was £2!!
Cheers Ian 😊 Keeping it Real 👍
always panzer
Good to see a VHS tape in the first shop 😊
they had a few in there tbh :)
@ that’s great. I think any shops near me would reject them or throw them away. There’s definitely lots of nostalgia and some value in them too 🙌🏻
You should enjoy those comics mate - amazing writing by Simon furman !
i'll be honest i've read a few before and dip in and out. I read about 5-6 in a row then put them down and might pick them up a few months time
I picked up a disney mug that I'd bought on vinted this morning. They passed me a bag...yes it had been sent in a bag 😮wrapped in a bit of kitchen paper...incredibly it arrived all in 1 piece, no chips, nothing
Ha that's crazy!!... glad it arrived intact tho. Miracle
Action Force is hot stuff. I've started my part-time reseller journey with my childhood Action Force toys. I've made £3k in two months selling it and it flies out
wow thats fantastic, congrats!! I've only come across a couple of GI Joe/action force figures in the wild once. theyre hard to find!
Aww, the transformers are comics on the 80s. Great video, and yes, it feels like a long time from the last video still great content
Those transformers comics are class!!! Looking forward to getting stuck in. Aiming for another video this weekend ;)
You can't all find it pal. Great video pal
to true kev... im happy with what i got tho
thank you for sharing really enjoyed 🎉
no problem RJacko, thanks for watching
Are those Transformers comics the ones that Conor found a while back? I still have mind from when I was a kid, I loved them. Also, Spiderman/Zoids comics.
yes they are the ones con picked up... like a legend he kept them for me. I love the old comics too, storylines were great
Hey quality over quantity bud great video as always 💪👊
i'm trying to go for quality now... with quantity i find it either hangs around or doesnt get listed
Yes definitely, especially with the new rules coming in on the 4th Feb. Not worth putting the cheaper items on.

there was pair of jordans size 9 (muddy) but no damage £15 in charity shop, i didnt know if i should of grabbed them and cleaned them or not
was the mud hiding any damage though? If they were legit then half hour cleaning them up and could have been a goer
@@MasterofPieces the bottoms of them were like new, it was more dried in mud on the upper white parts, the insides looked decent too
tomy pocketeer is a nice pick up:)
was happy to see that on the shelf!!
Shocking postage packing I box all my games and consoles so well I sometimes lose on the post lol shame about the playstation
piece of mind to know it gets there safe though right

& yet they still dont use common practice when sending parcels.. @@MasterofPieces
It won't help your sourcing that Conor was in the same shop the day before rinsing it out haha!
there is some truth in this hahaha
that was what I thought too 😮
Love the comics
me too!!! great condition too for the age
It's just common sense to put something like that in a shipping box, I don't understand how people think lol.
agreed. I only use bags for soft items e.g. clothes, teddies etc.. anything rigid is boxed
Did cadgy coy pack that as that looks like his packing style 😂
if it hadnt been dropped on the way it would have probably been alright... id have put it in a box myself
I actually think it’s a doddle. Then again been doing it for 40 years. Way before internet.
Depends what your goals are i guess

if theyre out of our control then you know you've done all you can. Its frustrating regardless but just got to factor it in
most resellers 'keyboards na too big and bulky to post'.
Master of pieces 'stick in a box easy to post'.
love it
just had some work done on the house so brimming with big boxes here.. no drama posting that at all
Absolutely ridiculous the way some people pack stuff, really annoying.
and lets be honest it doesnt take much effort to put something in a box.
@MasterofPieces exactly.
I've ran out of dvd player sized boxes and I've sold a few this week so I just used cardboard I had and made a box.

how much did you pay for the timberlands mate?
couple of quid per pair

Champing. Not chomping 👍
i said buyer instead of seller somewhere in there too
How did you find doing your tax forms this year. Do you think I should do mine, I only made £700 from Nov to April?
No need unless you're making £1000+ per year
I don't know the rules well enough. I've an accountant that sorts mine out tbh
