Not really a problem. Dress for the destination. It is a commute ride.

Just wear a black shirt or bring a shirt for riding and change the shirt once you get to where you are trying to go

Instead I drive my Porsche to work with Gucci flip flops. Nobody dares to fire me for wearing that.

It helps if there's a locker for your clothes at work (as well as cleaning facilities). My commute is 45 minutes, so I arrive sweaty even without a backpack.

Thats what I used to do lol. Would bike 25 mins to work and change at work (I'd arrive earlier than my shift started).

My commute is an hour each way. Even if it was 10 minutes like yours I'd still have a shower after the ride. People who don't shower after a ride irrespective how long it takes will always smell.

Use a backpack that has a frame and ventilation mesh on your back like osprey stratos. Wear sportswear, not cotton. Bring a second shirt to change, if needed, also babywipes to get rid of swear.

I solved this by using the thinktank speed racer bag. Its what professional photographers carry in the field. You sling it over your shoulder and buckle it around your waist allowing airflow down your back. It can easily hold a lunch, a change of clothes plus all your personal affects. I might be the first to use one for cycling but because of it's tactical and rugged design I highly recommend giving it a try.

“I can see your chest”....point proven. You will sweat with or without a backpack. Perhaps buy better clothing for your commute to help wick away the sweat.

The bad thing is that you wear wrong clothing. Jeans plus cotton shirt = too much sweat

I have used backpacks. I also used to use a huge courier bag and would put shopping in it. That put weight on me, which pushed my pelvic floor harder onto the saddle. I'm very much a convert to pannier bags.

I recently swapped out my backpack for a Roswheel rear rack and Arkel pannier. I should have done this a long time ago. Life changing. Ok, maybe I’m overstating it a tad, but you get my point.

Get a pannier and put a shoulder strap, mount to your rear rack. Done. Or get a front pizza rack and attach your backpack there.

Backpacks trap too much heat in summet . I don't do it as to avoid heatstroke. When I bicycled to work I avoided the body odor thing . I would use a sponge or wet paper towel to wipe myself down then slap on some deodorant in the washroom when I arrived at work . I stayed away from garlicky foods and took extra socks and shirt in summer. I have a rack on on commuter bike and strap a backback to it with two bunji cords so its nice and quick to put on and take off.

As a dutchy I think I'm a pro at bike related problems. You should commute on a city bike where you can sit upwards, your back won't sweat that much, and bike at a slower pace, you sound out of breath.

If you have a bag that big, you can easily put spare clothes in and a wash kit and have a wash at work or, get more physically fit so you wont sweat. Train hard fight easy👍

Ride a bike with a carrier rack on the back or a basket on the front/back. Even a removable seat post rack if you're someone who's too precious about your road bike.
    Whatever.
Just put your backpack on the rack or basket and problem solved.
And make sure it's secured with some bungee cords or ties and pedal on........! 🚴‍♂️

Could also just bring an extra shirt with you

Dude... You appear to go out of your way to pick the worst pack for riding a bike. This is a horrible and misguided video. One of the worst I have ever seen on TH-cam. I have tried almost every option available for commuting and a CORRECT fitting Backpack, suited for cycling, is ALWAYS my best option for Commuting in The Bay Area, California for MULTIPLE REASONS. TWO THUMBS DOWN!! You must be living in an isolated community, free from real life day-to-day situations one will certainly encounter in most cities. There is no singular ideal but, for most people, a WELL DESIGNED Backpack is one of the better options; perhaps overall best.
